A lovely lark! Cheered my day right up..that beautiful watch stirs the imagination..a couple walking hand in hand in some bygone day..she stops to pick up a pretty shell..and her watch slips off her wrist. She doesn't even notice..so besotted with her love ..lol..I needed some beautiful distraction today, and you and your treasures and lovely photography did the trick.Thank you! ..
Yes, I'm afraid the world has gone mad, it's heartbreaking to watch, especially for those of us that have lived thru the days when life was so much simpler and you could actually be a child. Social media has turned that into a fond memory. Having these two wonderful ladies to look forward to is a blessing that I am so thankful for, they bring joy to an otherwise dismal day of craziness everywhere. Please stay safe and bless you both. 🥰🥰 Hugs xx
Thank you for continuing to put out consistent videos. So many other mudlarks I watch have been disappointingly not keeping up with their normal schedule of content without any explanation.
The compass reminds me a lot of my great-great-grandfather’s, including the indented bits. He used it in the early-mid 1800’s to plot his course when taking his fishing boat out to sea off the coast of Norway (near the Lofoten islands). A sharp metal spike fitted into one side, and a pencil slid into the other. In a sense, it worked like calipers, because he could use it to measure distances.
Once again such a calming enjoyable video, it’s not the finds to me, it’s the easy going experience of digging & exploring & finding bits & pieces of the past. Loved it!
The piece that looks like part of a compass, could it be part of a drafting tool. I love how the watch cleaned up even though the glass didn't make it.
you could find a similar watch face image on the internet, print it on acetate, punch a hole in the center & mount on the watch u found. that way you wouldn't risk messing it up trying to paint such tiny numerals. nice find. the circles metal piece could be a decorative piece - w/beads attached at the holes?
I always enjoy watching your videos. Have you thought about doing a short video about you soaking some of the metal objects? I'd be fascinated to see how you get these items looking so good after seeing them so crusty when you first discover them! 🙂
Its always an amazing watch to see just what will turn up next on one of your larks Fleur and Kate. I loved the idea of making a bracelet out of the old watch. I think that could be quite beautiful, with say, some tiny dried flowers from your allotment, inside the face part. Just an idea. You could still paint the numbers back on the face before hand, in reference to its past use. Anyway, thanks for taking us along with you. I hope you enjoyed your holiday. X
Love Fluer’s “Oh my goodness!” and Kate’s “It’s stunning!” statements! Wouldn’t be on of your lovely videos without it! Thanks for sharing! Loved the head! “Oh my goodness” he was handsome! And that “stunning” yellow bead! ❤❤
I have just discovered your channel by suggestion from a family member and I am soooo pleased I have found you guys! I'm so pleased that beautiful people like yourselves still exist!! You are kind, adorable and sweet and your content is amazing! I find it hard to relate or find something so relaxing and fascinating and beautiful at the same time but here you both are! Yayyyy! Also I would love to know where you go clothes shopping as you both look so beautiful! Kind regards to you both and hope you find the holy grail 🙏🏻 xxxxxx
I certainly enjoyed this mud lark. I love ❤️ the concretions that you have to have to wrangle the items out of them. No matter what it might be. Like opening a surprise.
Great overalls, Kate! Love them! Also, when you asked, "guess what I would like to find" on the watch, I thought you were going to say.. "the word ROLEX"! 😊
Perhaps the big knife could be cut down to scale as a read knife in the 1940’s dolls house kitchen? Liked the conical bead Kate; have you considered pricing open the back of that watch to see the treasures inside?
Your videos are always a joy to watch! But I think the one thing that brought me the most joy this time are those dinosaur pants!! I love ❤️ those!! Always loved your clothes actually, wish I could find some similar here in the US. So cool!!
I hope you had a lovely holiday i think the thumb screw Kate found may be for tightening a tent pole and the knife looks like a scalpel from the war era thanks for another relaxing video looking forward to next week Karl from Canada
Love to have you back….hope you’ve had wonderful holidays. The watch find is incredible and the little head…I’m always wondering how you find this tiny things. Thanks a lot for another chilling outtake
Lovely video ladies, thanks for sharing your adventures. I was wondering if while you’re editing your videos you ever spot a treasure that you missed on the day? Must be very frustrating if that happens! Would love to see how you clean your finds too xx
The thing that looks like metal lace is possibly a buckle that once had pieces riveted to it. Or a base for a jewelry piece that would hold steel bits riveted on or metal bezels with tiny cabochons or gems.
firsst time anywgere being first you would think i was just sitting and waiting for this to start.l love the vids just well done and interesting. wish i could find things besides scells and the very rare japanese glass fishing floats. and more recemthly firdges and washing machines.EDIT lost in a storm off a cargo ship
Love the yellow bead and the pretty piece of metal that should be useful to you with the dolls houses. interesting watch and yes we could see the numbers thank you for putting the light on it. Where did you go on holiday? and are we going to see a video from where you went? Stay safe love to all.
At 7 mins in you had a problem removing that bit of metal. One solution would have been simply to hit the smaller stone with another stone to break it up..
In a world gone mad, thank you for the reminder that there is still peace and adventure awaiting us all if we so choose.
You're not kidding about a world gone mad!
I totally agree!🙂

The fact that the watch still has its numbers on it is amazing. Wouldn’t you love to know the story behind that find!!!

Love Kate’s dinosaur bibs. That turner thing is a thumb screw.
My dad also referred to them as set screws… because they were often used on items that could be adjusted for different needs…
Thank you for continuing to put out consistent videos. So many other mudlarks I watch have been disappointingly not keeping up with their normal schedule of content without any explanation.
Perhaps the knife is a sword to hang above the fireplace? I love watching the two of you, Fleur and Kate. Be safe out there.

Yes. A sword or farm/ greenhouse tool. Love the dinosaurs!!
Beautiful music and lovely joyful voices of children enjoying the beach. Kate looking particularly stunning.
Once again such a calming enjoyable video, it’s not the finds to me, it’s the easy going experience of digging & exploring & finding bits & pieces of the past. Loved it!
what about magnetizing your trowel to help pick up pins and such?
and Kate wins the award for the most interesting & whimsical bib overalls!
The piece that looks like part of a compass, could it be part of a drafting tool. I love how the watch cleaned up even though the glass didn't make it.
Kate your literally adorable..... dinosaur pants, acorn ring and flowers on your nails ... love it x

I’m such a rock hound that I’m constantly scanning around where u r digging to see what’s there. 😊
I certainly enjoyed this mud lark. I love ❤️ the concretions that you have to have to wrangle the items out of them. No matter what it might be. Like opening a surprise.
Kate has an adorable Acorn ring on her finger. Yay.❤
So ironic wearing dinosaur bibs and finding fossils!!! 😂 Another fun outing with you two!! 🥰🥰🥰
Another precious video. Thank you. I love the watch, wonderful find.
Greetings from the state of Illinois, USA. The landscape there is amazing. Always love your videos. They calm me.
I'll wager the Sailor head is a french Sailor (Marine Nationale) as they wore a Bobble on top of the lid (hat) 👍⚓
Great overalls, Kate! Love them! Also, when you asked, "guess what I would like to find" on the watch, I thought you were going to say.. "the word ROLEX"! 😊
Loved the tiny bits you found that watch was a great find! I like the bead that looked like a sea shell 🐚 and all of the pieces! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Katie the little head would be great as Silver earings
How amazing to see those ghostly numbers on the watch face!
It’s a tamoshanter 😊
Maybe a small haul but a nice one.❤❤❤❤
I would feel oddly compelled to *pet* some of the stones...😊
Wow he's Awesome. Great channel full of information and ideas. Well done Wendy
If you were to look very closely to the middle with a magnifying glass, you might be able to see where the hands were pointing!
Nice finds!! The ammonite piece looks like a fossilized fern to me😊Love the little flower on Kate's thumbnail❤
Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Most unusual finds. Little head is adorable.
Your videos are always a joy to watch! But I think the one thing that brought me the most joy this time are those dinosaur pants!! I love ❤️ those!! Always loved your clothes actually, wish I could find some similar here in the US. So cool!!
Hi from Canada ! I think if you took that watch to a jeweler they might be able to tell the time if the remaining part of the hands are there ?
Great finds ,beautiful outing thank you.
I hope you had a lovely holiday i think the thumb screw Kate found may be for tightening a tent pole and the knife looks like a scalpel from the war era thanks for another relaxing video looking forward to next week Karl from Canada

Lovely video ladies, thanks for sharing your adventures. I was wondering if while you’re editing your videos you ever spot a treasure that you missed on the day? Must be very frustrating if that happens! Would love to see how you clean your finds too xx
Hi girls, watch can be open to find out the maker or how many jewels
I didn't see the fossil clearly, but it might be an arthropod (trilobite). 😊
😊😊😊great finds ladies
The thing that looks like metal lace is possibly a buckle that once had pieces riveted to it. Or a base for a jewelry piece that would hold steel bits riveted on or metal bezels with tiny cabochons or gems.
I think that a part of piles of the holders of a tap holder??

Kate's Dinosaur Overalls are adorable
lovely finds well done
Lovely finds 😊
The giant fools knife could be a “sword” for over the mantle
Loved the vid , nice finds and I can’t wait for the fossil hunting vid , peace ✌️
I love your channel so relaxing 😊
Love the yellow bead and the pretty piece of metal that should be useful to you with the dolls houses. interesting watch and yes we could see the numbers thank you for putting the light on it. Where did you go on holiday? and are we going to see a video from where you went? Stay safe love to all.
That pretty piece of metal could perhaps become a decorative fireplace screen for the doll's house.
I would love a gobby necklace...lol
I like the fossil best
Always a good day when you're on the beach. You think the watch is circa 1960 ish?
Not sure but the watch might open
That’s one loud bird at 9:23. 😂
Some nice finds as always.did my first Mudlark on the Thames found loads of pipe stems 😂😂❤
Thanks for the escape.
Looks like a Tam O Shanter cap/hat on the little grey head? 🤔
fun pants Kate
Was the yellow bead UV glass?
Maybe there's marks on the inside of the watch, have you opened the case? 🕒
Nice dinosaur pants. Nerd! 😂😝🖤
A sword for a doll. Lol
Cool 🤩🤩🤩💖💖
Does the yellow bead glow under UV?
💛
💐🌞 x
If you put the paint on the watch face and wipe it off it may stay in the indentations
the bead
