    Another option would be to have the lab on the green side, a small storage box connected via conveyor to production and have the bots fill the lab from the box.

      I really wanted to keep the green area as home/food, but looks like its going to become the whole place astronauts stay and work.

      Also why not tow the planets with a ship, or treat it as the bridge of the planet ship,

    Hi, love the content. Also, love the idea of multiple planet base, if you don't like the look of lab there just put it under ground somewhere 😅

      Its not the look of the lab, it was that I wanted the green planet to be just for living, and the ice planet for working. But seeing as they cant commute. I guess the green planet it going to become astronaut central.

    Also FYI Transport bots were originally only ever intended to move food to the canteen, moving other resources was only added shortly before release, so they need more work, although Tefel has done a lot of work on them already they still need some TLC...

      There no way to limit the amount of good going somewhere, that I can see, so bots are the best way to slow down transport. But, as I said in another comment, resources are unlimited, so theres no real reason for not just sending "too many" bars to the lab really.

    I agree with the others, move the lab and place it outside in the green area along with his food, table and sleeping pod :) - Normally except for power cable and conveyor entrances you should leave a space of at least 1 tile all around the lab..

    Personally I prefer to work in a greener environment rather than buried in the bowels of an ice planet surrounded by noisy factory equipment. If I were Lysander I’d be asking for a transfer as soon as possible. I’d move the lab to the green zone. No traffic to contend with, clean air, a verdant surrounding. Plus, given my personal distaste for waste, I never auto feed resources into the lab but rather manually load them so I don’t produce more than needed. You need 1,154 engineering, 752 chemistry, 649 biology, and 403 space in the current state of the game and I produce only what I need to achieve that. Therefore it’s easy to place the lab a good distance from resource production.

      Are you implying that I should be considering my workers welfare in to my grand plan??? 😜
      As for not wasting resources, they are infinite don't forget. The universe creates unlimited asteroids and planets. All we have to do it get them.
      I think we'll have the green planet as astronaut central, and everything they need will be there for them. Just need to move it to one side or the other, as its currently the "front" of the "ship"

      I do like that idea, but for this playthrough we'll go with moving planets around.

      They cant commute across docks it seems, guess we'll put everything on the green planet instead.
