This person is a Bishop? 1) The scriptures do not say to "remove borders." That is legitimately false. It does say to love those who come into your land. It does not say...do not have borders. 2) This is exactly why mainline Christianity will be dead and gone in 10 years. The twisting of scripture to fit a politically/earthly power hungry narrative. When we place no effort into our hermeneutics, it leads to bad reading, bad understanding, and bad interpretation of Scripture. It leads to the worst cases of proof texting our presuppositions or social concerns. It has nothing to do with Spiritual Transformation and it especially does not lead us to the great Wesleyan understanding of sanctification.
