I played Panzer Dragoon 1, Zwei, Saga (Emulator), and Orta (Xbox). This is an amazing and epic series. I wish they would release all of them as HD remakes because this series deserves it.
Eh the gameplay actually is surprisingly "compatible" with its big brother. I enjoyed playing it on Kega Fusion, then went right back to the original though :)
Congraturations! It's rare to see Mark slam a game, I love how positive he usually is. But for Mark of all people to say this game's a turd, it must REALLY suck.
[Awesome music playing] - 'the amazing music... which is not to be found here and that's kinda odd because...' Dude that's totally Panzer Dragoon music! It's just that it's the 8-bit, chip tunes. Now send me your copy if you don't like it :P
Some questions about some Sega Gensis games How close are you to finishing Revenge of Shinobi? Will you do a review of Shinobi III? Have you ever played Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter? Keep up the cool reviews :P
My guess Sega kept the single copy of the source code on an Intern named John's Pentium III computer's hard drive. The computer had a 20GB IDE hard drive in it, it maked a horrible screeching noise, would sometime click when the computer was turned on and the computer would give an error message about no boot disk, but it's cool because smacking the side of the tower a few times and rebooting usually worked so they figured this would be the best place to keep source code for their games.
At the very least, it would be awesome to see the original trilogy remade in HD for modern consoles... I just couldn't get into Orta like I did the originals for some reason, and I would fear that a 5th game might be great but still lack the soul that attracted me to the original games, but who knows!
I played that too! Actually the gameplay isn't that far off the "real" Panzer Dragoon, and it has some decent Music, too, as far as that's possible for a Game Gear.
but before we need hd-versions on the psn. with original graphics mode for that retro-feeling. (like nights into dreams) i really love to experience those great sega gems this way
Is it just me, or is Felicity from England just got everything from Japan, and if so, why just give everything away, aren't they more valuable and collectible?
Considering this is an 8 bit version of an amazing 32 bit game, its not that bad. Even the music from Zwei sounded faithfull. The series was never meant to be played on the Game Gear.
I had a Game Gear as a kid :) I didn't know this game existed, until years after. But it wasn't in the states anyway LOL There's a couple of games that I want, and they're only available in Japan :/
I like the game gear off screen footage. This is how the games ACTUALLY looked back then. The game gear was horribly blurry and had a bad refresh rate/ghosting.
Hey Mark have you played Panzer Dragoon Orta on ye olde xbox? If not then you really 'orta'. Get it? Orta? Ought to? Heh heh. ....Each day I struggle to summon the will to live.
It makes you wonder when they lost it since there's a port of it for the original Xbox, though I'm sure that was based off the PC version. Honestly, though, if it couldn't be based off the original code I fear it may lose something of its essence. Sega can be brilliant, but they're equally capable of mucking a good thing up.
At least the Sega GG wasn't region locked! And this is one of those games with no Japanese reading whatsoever, so playing it in North America is simple! Also, you should use emulation to review Game Gear games... It looks so much better for review purposes compared to filming your GG screen...
Oh god yes, that original PD theme... it literally gives me chills every time I hear it! I think I'm gonna have to go listen to it right now.
I played Panzer Dragoon 1, Zwei, Saga (Emulator), and Orta (Xbox). This is an amazing and epic series. I wish they would release all of them as HD remakes because this series deserves it.
yeah the package is in collectors condition!
YEEEEEEEEEESSS!!!
You dont know how long i have been waiting for you to review the Panzer Dragoon Series!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! LOL!
I've never even been familiar with the Panzer Dragoon until I saw the video review for the first game for the Sega Saturn.
Love the series
..would like to have this one as a added one to my collection
Congraturations!!!! on your successful review of Panzer Dragoon Mini Mark!
always quality reviewing!!! Keep the awesome work
Ending fanfare was very impressive after listening to the GG version.
That is very interesting. I didn't know they made a GameGear version of it in Japan, of course.
Now you make me wanna play the first game. I gotta look it up now.
It seems like more work went into that manual than the game.
I'm gonna try the Saturn games again. Its been a long time since I played them.
Eh the gameplay actually is surprisingly "compatible" with its big brother. I enjoyed playing it on Kega Fusion, then went right back to the original though :)
@John W your reply was about JSR and there is no new game of it :/
Whoa, that´s a good find! It looks good,I want to play it,congraturations, great video
Congraturations!!!! Hahaha. Awesome stuff as always!
Congraturations! It's rare to see Mark slam a game, I love how positive he usually is. But for Mark of all people to say this game's a turd, it must REALLY suck.
full theme song for the first time ever, thumbs up
This episode was the first time I've ever heard the entire CGR theme music :D Usually it ends around at 19 seconds.
Another great review, keep em coming!
First time I ever heard the entire CGR theme tune
[Awesome music playing] - 'the amazing music... which is not to be found here and that's kinda odd because...'
Dude that's totally Panzer Dragoon music! It's just that it's the 8-bit, chip tunes. Now send me your copy if you don't like it :P
Wow handheld gaming has come a long ways.
Love your job mate, well done
That ending screen is the antithesis of the Enduro Racer ending screen.
really in mint condition!
when will the Saturn review come out?
I still love see new JSR game tho :) still need Mini for my PD games to be full :O!
Some questions about some Sega Gensis games
How close are you to finishing Revenge of Shinobi?
Will you do a review of Shinobi III?
Have you ever played Mazin Saga: Mutant Fighter?
Keep up the cool reviews :P
Wow, in the box even!
:( wish sega would do a HD re-release of the panzer dragoon games.
It did now, for PC.
Your wish was granted Mr. Wayne :)

You guys should review the Supaboy
congraturations! :D
I actually liked the music tunes from game gear i hear in this review. May not be the same style as original panzer dragoon, but fun nonetheless?
I wonder if Mark got the TMNT game I sent him a month ago? Hopefully he'll get around to reviewing it within the next month or so! :D
At the very least, it would be awesome to see the original trilogy remade in HD for modern consoles... I cannot understand why Sega is unable to bring these back in HD. i mean, did they loose it, or something ( isn't there a rumor that says that?)?
Hey mark when are you going to review custer's revenge?
We want more mvs review Mark!
It came from 1996, but the packaging looks like it's brand new!
I played that too! Actually the gameplay isn't that far off the "real" Panzer Dragoon, and it has some decent Music, too, as far as that's possible for a Game Gear.
I have the first one lol I love panzer dragoon
but before we need hd-versions on the psn. with original graphics mode for that retro-feeling. (like nights into dreams) i really love to experience those great sega gems this way
CONGRATURATIONS !
This game is probably harder to find than Saga.
I wonder if Felicity regrets sending Mark this game now.
I'm a big fan of the Panzer Dragoon games.
@Simracer1990 Dude, Oil Platform Simulater is where it's at.
They should have made the games music(and gameplay) similar(in production value) to Devilish on the game Gear, now THAT was a quality side scroller!
Classic Game Room fans are seriously the best group of fans.
Is it just me, or is Felicity from England just got everything from Japan, and if so, why just give everything away, aren't they more valuable and collectible?
So what is the best game on the game gear?
MVHH
Considering this is an 8 bit version of an amazing 32 bit game, its not that bad. Even the music from Zwei sounded faithfull. The series was never meant to be played on the Game Gear.
wow, didn't even know there was such a PD game on a handheld.
I care, I care immensely. Rap beats are my favorite thing in the world, while watching CGR I cant help but think of rap beats.
Funny, the soundtrack in this game is just a much simpler version of all of the tracks from Panzer Dragoon: Zwei on the Saturn.
Nice one, rare game !
I had a Game Gear as a kid :) I didn't know this game existed, until years after. But it wasn't in the states anyway LOL There's a couple of games that I want, and they're only available in Japan :/
It looks like if that bonus level from Ecco the Dolphin, was a Star Fox clone.
CONGRATURATIONS
I like the game gear off screen footage. This is how the games ACTUALLY looked back then. The game gear was horribly blurry and had a bad refresh rate/ghosting.
5!? I thought there was only one!
How many people tried to wipe their screen when he was playing close up on the GameGear?
Check out Crimson Dragon for Xbox One, the spiritual successor to Panzer Dragoon Orta.
Hey Mark have you played Panzer Dragoon Orta on ye olde xbox? If not then you really 'orta'. Get it? Orta? Ought to? Heh heh.
....Each day I struggle to summon the will to live.
How can you compare 32 bits with 8 bits?... there are many PD elements and this is what matter for this port...
I would, but I don't know his Steam ID. :(
Hey Mark :)
Mohammed from Qatar, please send Mark Gunstar Heroes for the Game Gear, no one has reviewed it yet on RUclips...
Of course he does. He is a youtube partner hell everyone is.
I didn't even know this game existed. O.o
Panzer Dragoon 5, come on Sega!
Because Lord Karnage is in control of 1080p
WHY AM I HAVING PROBLEMS WITH 1080p??????????
Well we are talking about Sega here :-P
Stand still, I'm trying to hug you.
Ah PD what shame that you and JSR get pushed aside by SEGA :( Mini is only PD game I don't own if I recall right ;o
This actually existed? Wow.
id rather have panzer dragoon saga 2, hell i want panzer dragoon saga HD
theres more scan lines then screen lol
Mark, could you please review Euro Truck Simulator 2?
Excuse me, where's the line for the people who wish to offer their first born son to Lord Karnage?
How in the world did that relate to my comment?!
I miss the days of full color instruction books. I hate the 3 page pamphlets you get in today's games.
panzer rocks
And next, the Real Panzer Dragoons :)
More trivia.
"Congraturations" meant congratulations in japanese, since they don't have a letter L
Yupp, there's no letter "L" in japanese, the substitute it with "R".
At least the Sega GG wasn't region locked! And this is one of those games with no Japanese reading whatsoever, so playing it in North America is simple!
Also, you should use emulation to review Game Gear games... It looks so much better for review purposes compared to filming your GG screen...
I miss the old intro
Mark, fuck you for owning something I dearly want to have in my Panzer Dragoon collection. :D I guess I can forgive you this time.
GOod for you now heres a cookie
Speaking of Panzer Dragoon, what the fuck ever happened to Crimson Dragon/Project Draco?
I recommend posting your comments on a rap channel then.
It´s like a Creepe Smurf
That game can't have been played more than 5 times.
Did this girl even use any of the stuff she sent to CGR?
Oh reary ?
The only good thing about this game is the music, which is still kinda primitive.
