    If you would like to try something different for tail lights I recommend trying the red citadel's gemstone effects paint. When painted over a metallic surface it has a similar look to the sharpie but with a great illusion of deapth. Best part is that it's just an acrilic paint so you can thin it or apply multiple coats to get what ever look you want. Thanks for all the great videos I love your channel.

    Love this build! The only suggestion I have would be to find a way to fill in the backside of the tires so they don't look hollow. I think that would add a lot to the aesthetic

    I really like this build! The weathering effect is great. And the suspension is genius. Have you ever considered using small springs ( maybe from a ballpoint pen?) slid over the paper clips in the wheel wells? Might look cool....but Ill just keep watching and learning!

    Just discovered these video's, which are somewhat addictive! I can't believe the amount of precision in restoring these die-cast cars. Fun to watch the actual process. Your work, unfortunately is well beyond my skill set. I realize now that putting together Revell plastic models with Testor's glue and painting with a rattle can, was probably the peak of my potential! Have a Great Day!

  • @bfenix
    @bfenix 6 лет назад +2

    Mad Max post-apoc customs really pop out on your channel, in my opinion. They're a nice deviation from the typical restorations. Not that's anything wrong with those, quite the opposite - they're really interesting and almost mesmerizing to watch, but these builds, probably because they're so contrasting with the usual content, add a ton of flavor. I hope you keep making these in the future!
    Plus, there's a vehicular combat game gaining alot of popularity right now called Gaslands that got players heavily customizing their 1:64 cars, so these videos give alot of tips and inspiration.

  • @cpad007

    Busted and/or missing lights and wheel rust/dents would have been appropriate but a great job on junking it up! Take some cold chisels to dent up the body panels a bit more or crush in the roof if possible. I'm not sure how this metal will do to such extreme pounding, however. Keep these coming...the Mad Max stuff is fantastic!

  • @s1zzle
    @s1zzle 6 лет назад +1

    The Mad Max series is one of my favourites and they definitely deserve a video showing all the Mad Max cars and a bit about the production of each one - what you learnt; what you like about each one etc. One improvement that could be made to this one is bending the red pipes coming out of the engine (exhausts or intakes I've no clue). Denting them and making them looking beaten up would add to the authenticity. Keep up the amazing videos!

  • @DoRC

    Very cool! I wonder if rolling the car on its wheel right after painting the dust color on would wear some of the color from the tops of the treads and make it look more realistic.

    Great build. For the gas tank I think if you glued the end cap on before trimming it you'd have an easier time and get a better fitting end cap. You could also leave the cut a hair proud and then roll it over the edge to give a little more detail.

    Amazing custom, as always! I actually just got a bunch of redlines that were in a flood and definitely need restoring. I've been having fun practicing on them and I'd love to send you one or two. It's not much but I'd really like to give you something for all you've done in this community and for spreading so much knowledge about these old cars. Have a great day!

    It’d be cool to add an additional paper clip, wrapped in a coffee stirrer or shrink tube to resemble a driveshaft. Maybe even using a bead to give the appearance of a differential.
    I’ve got another idea for coilovers too.

  • @billymasoner3735
