Dad asked some great questions about colleges. In the next video about college applications, of course you will do but would like to learn, if you can present categorizing universities into three groups: Premium, Mid-tier, and Lower-tier. For example, Premium Universities like Harvard and MIT are super fancy and look at lots of things when picking students, like grades, test scores, and extracurricular activities in the selection process. You get only 1 credit for each class, be it AP, Honors, or a level class. The only difference is that kids get a higher GPA if they take AP/Honors.
Yes, however if they get a good score on AP exam they can get 3+ college credit hours for most AP subjects,

Hi, great info, thanks, too add further, as a prarent we got very good results in recent SAT test. Its was perfect score. My son Ashwin learned it from Edkonnect Academy. Great place to learn, and very pocket friendly fee. Might be useful to any one looking for help. Cheers

We came from India to USA when my son was in 9 th grade , we ask him to take all enrichment subjects in 9 th grade so he can understand school and everything , 2024- 2025 sept he will be in Junior, my question is by his grades he is achieving only honour courses, no AP courses what he should do or must do , to apply for good colleges

School conduct test during the academic year if the kid score well they automatically enroll into honors.

My son goes to swimming and tennis apart from school sports but they don’t give any certificates. Can we use these activities for college applications or do we need certifications to mention in college application?
We can mention as Extra curricular activities in applications and would be great if kid has some achievements in them.

For college application, they will only consider sports as extracurricular activities or they consider Band too..because my daughter is taking flute from 5th grade , now she is in 7th. We are planning to move to US after my daughter’s 10th grade. We want to move back so that she can do her undergrad in US.
Is it suggestible to move after her 10th grade? Or should we wait until 12th grade?
My daughter is a US citizen.
Please explain.
If you move after 10th grade, the big hurdle is to score good in ACT or SAT. If you are confident then should be fine. Or move after 12th, then you have to check the requirements of your interested college and full fill them.
