Absolutely fabulous! Went to Birmingham to see this guy but he had larngitis and had to cancel. The stand in was good but I really wish Cortes had been able to be there.
He is very good. I agree that you cannot compare him to Pavarotti. His technique is good (very good for a young singer), but like the last reviewer said, it is not Pavarotti's technique. Really great though. Check out Alessandro Safina.

Most truly a lovely voice, but to compare him with Pavarotti is just stupid. Pavarotti's sound is unique, and his technique as well. Gardar has really improved since I last heard him. Then his voice was not as dark and rich, a step in the right direction indeed. You should check out 'nessun dorma' He really struggles with that dark passage. But then again his top note, a b flat (i think?) is absolutely amazing and so much better than my own high notes.

I find this quite disturbing. The music is absoloutely brilliant, i love singing opera.. But saying stuff like this shows them the existence of god is pathetic. It's beautiful, yes. But that has NOTHING to do with god. God isn't your happiness -.-.
i love his voice. i have discover him on c music. really thank you. one more proof that god wants us to see all the beauty in the world.
