I like the format of your channel where you actually play the video the whole way through and comment after or off to the side instead of stopping and replaying the same parts over and over like other channels do.
A mistake that a lot of fighters make is only sparing against other fighters that use the same technique style as them. Mastering one fighting style is like only knowing one letter of the alphabet. Understanding what your opponent is trying to do is just as important as having a plan of what you want to do
It’s not the style, it’s the fighter. I’ve seen fighters of many styles succeed in kickboxing and mma backgrounds, I’ve seen guys kill it in the Octagon whether it’s Taekwondo, Muay Thai, plain old western kickboxing, a great fighter can adapt in the moment; not to say that technique isn’t important, but adaptation really is too. Of course if you train Muay Thai you’re going against a TKD fighter who boxes too, it’ll be different but you can adapt to what’s thrown at you and vice versa. I mean, there’s several UFC champions who were wrestlers after all? So it’s the fighter and their ability to adapt. You can practice one style if it’s striking or grappling and learn to adapt, but for mma of course you need to learn a manner of grappling and a manner of striking. But no that’s not a mistake per se, if you’re sparring and pressure testing techniques that work, then that’s what matters to, that you can hard pressure test them. The real problem is many martial arts don’t pressure test. Boxing is a great fundamental because it’s all about pressure testing, same with MT. The trap a lot of martial arts fell into especially more traditional ones like Karate (in the us) is lack of pressure testing. That being said, I’d quickly train at a great kickboxing gym than a sub par Muay Thai gym. If they’re sparring, if they’re conditioning and teaching technique properly ie; being critical if you’re doing it wrong, then you have a great coach/teacher. If they’re not bothering to do any of that then it’s pointless
That being said, it’s the fighter, who’s training them, and if it’s being pressure tested through live sparring that’s important, if you lack those things doesn’t matter which style you do, you’ll fail. That being said, many martial arts sadly forgot those aspects hence many mcdojos, and the adding of lots of rules to limit which techniques can be trained

Tai chi isn't really a agressive fighting style. Its kinda like art for them and its not really all that useful against grappling and other styles. But, im talking about the majority and i have seen some tai chi masters win fights, just not with gloves. And just to add, tai chi n kung fu are very artistic and usually not useful against kickboxing, mma, judo etc. It's best to keep one style fighting one style. :)
One thing I noticed is that boxers/MMA fighters are a lot quicker and have more stamina than so-called masters of a certain martial arts. Likely because they actually fight rather than endlessly train katas in the comforts of dojos and under their own brawl rule-sets restrictions & limitations.

As an underground Kumite fighter who has defeated 1000 men in one night and been undefeated in 20,000 fights to the death, using my unbeatable aikido skills, that I learned over hundreds of years, from the grand masters. I can confirm that these are fake tough guys!
Fellow aikaido/tai chi practitioner here. Funny to see all these fake tough guy pro boxers/Muay Thai fighters in the comments. Let them try one tai chi meditation, I just see red bro.
"I've got kids" 💀 Sean must have a crazy presence in the ring/cage. Even Alex said standing across from Sean was the only time in his life he felt fear
That troll got battered but he took his beating with dignity and in the process managed to land a few on a professional. Nothing but respect for that man, he spoke shit and stood behind his lip so fair play to him
I just want to point out that the fighter at 09:00 is Nam Phan, who is an ex UFC fighter with possible CTE.
So him fighting there is just plain stupid and reckless
@@nr1NPCI think bro wants to decrease his lifespan
You know how much Strickland was holding back tho right? He was being really really nice.
@@Willtreaty99 shows how much of a gentleman he is, he could of took his head off but instead he chose to just teach him a lesson
Well of course he "landed a few." Sean isn't gonna go full force or even half on some untrained dm'ass.
That guy who sparred Strickland wasn’t just an internet troll, he’s an actual boxer
A shitty one at that
Dennis Douglin.. in a much lighter weight class than the uff fighter
strickland was obviously taking it easy on him
@@yarmus718 that's why sean took it to his field of play
I like the format of your channel where you actually play the video the whole way through and comment after or off to the side instead of stopping and replaying the same parts over and over like other channels do.
6:25 glad you called that fighter out too. The knee to the head while he was on the floor was disgusting tbh
The bald guy was clearly either drunk or mentally ill. They shouldn't even let him into the gym. Super messed up.
7:58 Holy FUCK that dude put on a clinic. He's pulling those punches. That was very kind of him.
Seriously, I didn't know "Kung-Fu Master" was synonymous with "Living Punching Bag"
Bro it literally reminded me of a cat playing with its food.
Crazy to think any of those punches could've put the other guy to sleep if he actually tried
Bro was hitting one of them 10-hit combo strings from Tekken 😭
@@thescumgod658thats what I was thinking. Its a crime these frauds convince people they are being taught self defense
A mistake that a lot of fighters make is only sparing against other fighters that use the same technique style as them. Mastering one fighting style is like only knowing one letter of the alphabet. Understanding what your opponent is trying to do is just as important as having a plan of what you want to do
Technique style? No offense but I don’t think you know much about fighting.
@@therainman7777 What is it specifically that you believe I am unaware of about fighting?
I will never understand why people challenge UFC fighters. LOOK AT THE GUY'S EARS!! 😅😅
UFC? Try international wrestling, toughest guys in the world.
Why are people so delusional and how are there so many of them that think they can fight?
4:09 going blow for blow with Sean Strickland and not getting finished definitely earns some respect
The fake tough guys are always boxers thinking their hot shit 😂
Nah. Fake tough guys wouldn’t be training to begin with..
Holy shit Sean Strickland was hella pulling his punches
Has never knocked anyone out in his life or training 😂
@@Nozylatten why don’t you try to knock him out
Man I appreciate your videos. You tell it like it is, no bullshit. Good stuff bro
Everyday I’m more grateful for my dad. He spent my whole life winding me up, he thought it was the funniest thing on earth. AND IM SO GRATEFUL. Now nobody can make me annoyed cause they’re nothing compared to my own family 😂😂😂
If you ever see a fight between a guy wearing pants+tank top against a guy wearing thai kickboxing shorts, you IMMEDIATELY know who is going to win
3:05 you know its over when Sean Strickland says "im ready to f*cking die here, are you?" 😂
Yeah any man in that mindset you really need to just stay away from
They're the crazy ones with nothing to lose
‘Go play in traffic’......😂One day they are going to pick the wrong one.....that person with nothing to lose, that is over it all💯Game over....do not pass go!
2:33 imagine trying to be better than some old man hahaha wow such a success
Init bet hed still get folded tho
1st dudes stance is LETHAL, ever see someone moving that nimbly, with that amount of focus without even covering his face is either crazy or educated…
You deserve all the views you get bro, one of the most level headed, fair and factual RUclipsrs out there, respect.
I'm not gonna lie, MMA completely ruined kung-fu movies for me. ( except for Jackie Chan movies, those are good forever)
As a trainer you should take in ALL and ANY constructive criticism given to you in regard to your fighter with a "Thank You". Now, if they disrespect you and try directly coaching up your student.... That's a different story.
2:43 new UFC Middleweight champ by the way 💪
3:51 man stood 10toes respect
Kung fu dude will argue to his friends that aye gauges weren’t allowed, so he lost.
Being a jiu jitsu practitioner this has happened and it’s honestly annoying. People have gotten “green lit” before and it doesn’t end well. This happens more frequently than you know. Hence the frustration from these fighters and they just pummel people.
I know of a club that did that to a mentally ill man who had come in beliving he was empowered by jesus and was a warrior. It ended with him having permanent brain damage and them trying to cover it up. It was even recorded in full, although good luck finding the video now.
1:52 "go play in traffic" lmao
5:55 the man was obviously drunk
"Fake" tough guy... nah he sparred strickland and talked shit the whole time then showed respect. That is a man
Love the "Masters"
Years of dedication to a craft that proves less than useless in an actual physical confrontation. Just waiting for all of the "you're attacking me wrong" instruction from the masters.
My favorite series💯💪
Went to a 50 Cent and busta concert 20 years ago. They threw bottles of water on people just like this. These dudes are hilarious. It’s part of the show.
Can we take a minute to appreciate that 50 Cent caught that chair with the mic in his hand while preforming.
That Hollywood video at 0:40 brought back memories. I used to live in Hollywood and went to music school a block away from where this video happened.
You might think your tough but there is always someone tougher
0:22 This clip is part of a video by a RUclipsr named Lofe. After the confrontation, the same guy who was trying to fight them later apologized
Attack Video Title: We got attacked in LA!
Apology Video Title: We found the guy who attacked us in LA
Let's all remember. Anyone who does the work can become a Master. Being a Master is just another level. Being a Master doesn't mean your a badass
What does it even mean to be a master? Is it even attainable? Without practice, your skills dull. Fitness fluctuates, and the body is constantly changing due to age. There's always something new to learn, no matter how old you are. Evident especially by these old guys getting absolutely destroyed by a generation whose probably 1/10th the time they have studying martial arts.
@@Shade84 because of the movies, and especrially in our childhoods the idea is formed, so most people have the perception that kungfu is king over everything.
its the same thing that people think that no one could have defeated bruce lee. (not that bruce was saying that (bruce had common sense), but that is how the people make legends grow i gues)
and i think that idea has gone tru the heads of a couple of those masters as well.
in the end movies are scripted and the protagonist has to win
there are fighting rules in the ring , so not anything goes
but when it really would come to life or death then i don,t think kung fu is that usefull as it is portrayed.
LOL yeah ok, you sound like a bunch of lazy fools who think they are special without attaining the discipline. I've heard it all before, always the same story. Don't confuse a phony with unearned credentials with somebody who did earn them.
Those trolling kids actually had me going. The fight stance and everything was priceless, couldn’t help but to laugh. They’ll grow up eventually and mature.
Out of all the UFC fighters to “troll” why would you pick on Sean Strickland, someone who’s clearly at the top and sure enough is now champ! Stupid! Kudos to him for trying.
No they won't, they'll thrive off the laugher of people like you and continue acting wacky.
Man, I haven't watched one of your videos in a while. Still very refreshing
Tai Chi is just yoga, leave that poor guy alone 😂😂😂
But i'm 260 brother
0:19 it's part of their culture to take something that is so minor and escalate into something way bigger. That's why I steer clear of them. I believe at this point that they're unfixable.
Coach fights like a Tekken character fr 💀
The Strickland match was good. He should get Mr Strickland to train him.
I like how he’s like “what are you a college student, no you probably don’t even go to college” while still squared up, mid fight.😂
The hands down guard like that followed by an easy knock out was COLD!!!!!
That first exchange from the coach is chef’s kiss. I wasn’t expecting him to have such fast hands.
You are probably the RUclipsr I’ve subscribed to that as the best style, good color palette taste
“Everyone has a plan until they’re punched in the mouth” - Mike 🐐 Tyson
Why do I find these videos so relaxing? It's like soothing music for some reason....
I’m a firm believer in the adage “play stupid games win stupid prizes.”
Strickland barely even going at a 3/10 and just absolutely destroying that guy lol
One thing I noticed is that boxers/MMA fighters are a lot quicker and have more stamina than so-called masters of a certain martial arts. Likely because they actually fight rather than endlessly train katas in the comforts of dojos and under their own brawl rule-sets restrictions & limitations.
nailed every one of these. 8/8 post-fight assessment
Bro said 50 has an ego like he didn’t start the shit at his own show 😂🤦🏻♂️
None of these teen pranksters seem to ever find me. I need to pray harder.
A definite new style of defence: Block the punches with your head lol. Wow. We have a real master of defensive boxing.
I love this type of content, when pranksters get beat up. Shits funny asf
Sean Strickland just becomes more of a nob by the minute! Always picking on small guys that dont fight!
His time will come💥
Yeah the knees and the hit after he choked him out isn't right at all. He touched cloves/hands. No need for all that
The sucker punch is the only thing fake tough guys have in their arsenal. When it comes to fighting this is the most coward move.
"Blocking punches with their face" I'm dying 🤣 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a martial artist myself who's had a gym I seen lots of young naive guys come in when I was teens and some of them got beatings. If you come in talking badly about women saying how you hit them and you fuck them in a room full of respectful fighters, you damn sure getting your arse whooped badly whoever gets the chance to spar you. Lessons depend on why they are needed to be taught and humbled and require different degrees of execution
