They want to stalk hunt prey and fight for territory and run and roam their land freely. No different than humans, in prison criminals get fed 3 times a day and they get to go outside and work out in the yard and catch some sunlight, if you asked 99 percent of prisoners they would choose freedom. I do get what your saying and the zoos that are decent feed animals well and don’t abuse them but most zoos don’t have a lot of money with so called trainers or employees who know nothing and treat these animals like shit behind the scenes. It might seem like a nice beautiful big area with water to us but to tigers lions and other big cats and animals...that is the tiniest little depressing space they are forced to call home.
