I am 6'1" and about 270 pounds. I use the 180 cm model and I can throw these skis into a turn and push the ski through the turn as hard as I can and it begs for more. Stellar ski. If you needed only one ski in the quiver to do everything front side in most any condition this is the ski to buy. You will feel planted through corduroy, chewed up runs, soft snow, cruddy conditions. 10/10

    Great review as always! 👏🏻😊
I am thinking about pulling the trigger on this one… Is it stable at speed and can it also do skidded turns well, in addition to carved ones?
    Thanks a lot!

This 82 is a shockingly stable ski. It's not quite as planted or grounded as the 86, but you do get better access to the skidded side of the turn spectrum. They are incredibly smooth and powerful.

What would you recommend? I am 40 years old, advanced/expert for all-day fun on the slopes in various conditions. Ice in the morning, moguls in the afternoon. 182 cm tall, 210 lb. I like fast, stable driving. Fischer RC One 82 GT or Rossignol Experience 82ti. Thanks

I think the Experience has more to offer here in terms of versatility and well-roundedness. I find the Fischer to be an outstanding carver but it lacks in the all-mountain department. Rossignol does it all very well, and happens to be very stable at speed.

how does this compare to the volkl deacon 84 or kastle MX 83? would you recommend these over the volkl for a 5'9 advanced skier mainly looking to carve short turns and something that is good for icy bumps. Do you think the 177 is too long for my height?

the Fischer feels heftier and damper than the others. Deacon has a pretty stiff tail and excellent energy, and it also has pretty long and low rocker in the tips and tails so it's pretty easy to initiate turns as well as being versatile. The composure and grip of the Kastle is off the charts as it helps the ski make some of the cleanest and roundest turns out there. I do think the Deacon has the most upside for carving shorter turns and icier bumps. I'd go 172 in that ski to take full advantage of the ski's turning and carving capabilities.

@@SkiEssentials thank you! I ended up getting the kastle skis but an slightly older demo model. They felt great on groomed runs and crud. They were definitely tougher in the moguls though.

For a Midwest front side ski, it has grip! I can set an angle and it holds the edge. I have the 2022 -166cm Actually use it for adult league gs racing. Am looking for a more specific gs ski, but for now it works. What he says, it is and it does.
