    A group of base jumpers were captured on camera this morning jumping off Beachy Head in Sussex.
    We can not confirm that any of them were in any way involved in the incident we reported on where a base jumper was injured. see post / 3773358546110846
    We do not advise to go anywhere near the edge and in a coastal emergency please call the coastguard on 999

    A really good school friend of mine ended his life here. He struggled with mental after many years before his death in his 20s. Plus this was the site of where families have made pacts and died together. If I did base jumping there, I would feel so ashamed. Think about others, the meaning of the place.

      What has base jumping got to do with that subject my man?

    Good luck to them, hope they all had a great time and stayed safe. Just wish the first gut down had filmed the others.

    Coast guard helicopter had to go out for these idiots! I understand that’s there thing but they take up valuable time & money for the emergency services who they try to avoid unless of course it goes wrong then they straight on the phone to them 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Do you know how many people pop kids out who end up in the care of the local authority? Millions in taxpayer money. Or take drugs, smoke, or drink alcohol? Beachy is legal so authorities are not avoided at all. I used to jump with an emergency doctor and a police officer. Back to your sofa sunshine.

      People ride motorbikes, drive cars, skydive, hang glide, paraglide, climb, play full-contact sports, hike, bungee jump, go caving, ride bikes, hunt, surf, swim, and a million other activities. No one does any of them hoping to get injured but sometimes it happens. Base jumping isn't really any different in that respect. Just because an activity doesn't appeal to you, doesn't mean someone else can't enjoy it...

      What a ridiculous comment. Have you asked the Coastguard how much UK base jumpers have donated over the years? Yes...we do a whip around for them, and jumpers do not have to call the coastguard very often at all. I'm plucking rough figures here, but lets say 10,000 jumps a year happen here, and there maybe 2-3 incidents a year, does that sound like a piss take? I dont think so. How many teenagers are in A & E every sunday after rolling their ankle at Football...

    The air flow doesn't seem right. None of the canopies open properly.

    This seems rather pointless. Surely part of the fun of base jumping is the thrill of falling for a short amount of time before opening the shoot. Here, they seem to be immediately opening the shoot, so it's like... obviously not high up enough.

      Ive been to this site its high but not high enough fot base jumping thats why they need to open their chute on air as soon as possible.

    • @darkspeed62
      @darkspeed62 3 года назад

      @@jexidexi5687 Yeah, well that's essentially what I was getting at in my initial post. It just isn't high enough, so kinda seems silly to base jump off of it.

      @@jexidexi5687 wrong, you can take a 3 second delay easy, how would you know what is high enough for a base jump? Do you jump yourself?

    • @bitcoinbeast
      @bitcoinbeast 2 года назад

      Its plenty high. I don't know these jumpers, but as a basejumper myself, you can easily take a 3 second delay depending on conditions and experience
