Does this version of the PS5 allow us to install other covers? Like blue or red? Cause mine doesn't seem 2 fit any holes & I just got it with new covers but they don't seem to be the right ones for this version of the PS5

This model does support alternate colors of the covers, but you must make sure you buy the correct covers. Sony and other vendors still sell covers for the original (larger) PS5 that has very different covers.

I find the security seal on the PS5 sold in America curious, which is not marked with the Sony logo unlike the European versions. When I saw this I thought they had opened it or it was a refushed version

Warranty void stickers are actually illegal in the United States as of a few years ago. The stickers still exist in the usual places, but without the warranty text present.

You don’t have to! The disc drive is not attached to the outer cover at all.

Does your cover for the hard drive. Does it have gap. Like after you installed it and pushing it tugging it have some play in it? Mine does that after Popping The Cover off and installing it back on. Curious of that normal for slim or not.

There shouldn't be any play in any of the covers after reinstalling them. It may be possible that one of the clips under your cover is not securely attached. I would try removing it and reinstalling it again, trying to make sure that all clips are secured.

i took off the plate next to the disc drive to pop in my extra internal hard drive and can't get it back on evenly with the plate next to it.
i tried several times, it goes on good enough but it almost half an inch more off than the one next to it. i pushed it on as hard as i can without the risk of breaking it. it's not a huge deal but pretty annoying for my ocd.

If you have a PS5 digital with model number CFI-2xxx, then yes you are able to add one of the new detachable disk drives to your console!

I was sure I could take it off but after they said they changed the clips and the way they snap on ,I wanted to see for myself before I start doing anything because I just lost my other og ps5 to the Liquid Metal issue

Try doing the exact reverse procedure of taking the cover off, and make sure that you are pressing down somewhat firmly on where the clips lie. Hope this helps!

This only works for PS5s with model numbers of CFI-20xx. You may have one with model number CFI-1xxx, in which case this method will not work for you at all. Sorry to hear.
