Absolutely the best box video. Tricks: 1) for a shallower box, cut your paper smaller and do the last fold shy of the center mark. 2) And for the lid cut the paper the same size but do the last fold 1/8” smaller than when you did the last fold of the box bottom. Draw lines on your paper so you know where the last fold line is. For example, for a 3x3x3/4” box, cut your 2 papers 6-1/4”. For the box bottom. Draw a box around your center mark that is 5/8” x 5/8”. That is your last fold line for the box bottom. And for the lid, draw a box 3/4” around your center mark and that is your last fold line for the lid. Works perfectly but I may not be explaining it well.
thank you! For anyone wondering I made this with a 21x21cm paper (close to one in the video) and got a box with 7.5x7.5cm and a height of around 3.5 cm
Hi. Thank you for showing the video. Was helpful. I did the measurements u said to do and found out that 1/2 inch was to big so i tired 1/4 and that was perfect. Thanks for easy directions on rest of it.
A larger box needs a thicker paper. To make a box with 5" for example, divide five by the constant 0.35294 and then you will have the required square paper size for the box. In this example case it is 14.16".
@@biancabhardwaj8347 Hi Bianca! Thanks for your question! With that question I discovered my mistake. The correct thing is to divide and not multiply! For a 6" box, divide 6 by 0.35294 = 17
Thank you so much. Compared to the other templates, this was just so easy. I tried the origami box, but I just could not figure out the final folds. Thanks again.
If I do a larger box, does the paper weight need to be thicker to ensure that it's strong enough to hold contents (lightweight A6 brochure and hand made paper gift)?

It's super easy just follow the steps :)
didn't say what pepper size is, or it's rly 8.5 cuz' I think this is rly small
8.5x8.5 inches for the lid and 8x8 inches for the base
langa lunga u can use any sizes. as long as i has equal measurementz on each side
Exactly. Any square size paper will work.
Really it's very small..I also tried it.
