Wonderful fix! Do you also have a fix for getting the return jet pvc screw piece out? I bought a little tool made for this, but it is too flexible to unscrew it.
MoNana, I don’t have any special tools for that. I use an oil filter wrench to loosen and tighten the big screw collars on the filter plumbing, and everything else that I can’t screw by hand I do with a really really big slip joint pliers.
@@MikeFyxdt This is the piece inside the collars and can't be grabbed on the outside. It has two small slots on the inside. The plastic tool is a flat piece that fits in those grooves with a plastic hand grip attached. The whole thing broke. I'm thinking maybe a metal tool? Otherwise, I will let water out of the pool and spray lubricant on the threads as best I can. If you have any other ideas, let me know.
Trying to get my plug out before I saw your video when pool people close pool they really put it in tight. Have been trying all day to get this stinking plug out its sucked in so hard..HELP
Ouch! I've had that happen too. I had to loosen the wingnut almost all the way, and then reach in with pliers to better grip the nut and pull it out. I found a wiggling motion works better than just pulling straight back, because you don't want to break the nut. Good luck!
@@coyotecarguy2076 Busy, busy, busy! I have several epic blockbuster videos on the editing bench, but I thought I’d pop out a few iPhone shorts just to whet the algorithm’s whistle since I haven’t posted in a while.
I used the pole I have for my mesh cover. Thank you for the tip.
You're welcome Irene! Thanks for watching! 😄

@@MikeFyxdt I could text or email a picture, I can't put it on RUclips.

Thanks for the video very informative god job 👍👍👍
Thank you Chispo!
Use a sharpie to mark the notch on the pole above the waterline, so you can easily see the proper rotation to couple with the wingnut.
I love it! ❤️ Great idea!!!
