@@acev3521dude... maybe you dont understand the problem. Imagine you are new to the game, like bronze 2, queue into comp and have a smurf in the enemy team. You get annoyed because you cant do anything. Another game a smurf is in your team and you cant enjoy the game, half the rounds end without you seeing any opponent. Smurfing just ruins experience for new players and is actually very common
@@acev3521What do you mean who cares? It's like #1 complaint in valorant forums, anyone below immortal cares. It's also ironic cause smurfers have a main character syndrome where they rather play in silver lobbies and be MVP instead of playing their rank and be average.
@@acev3521New players are actively discouraged from playing when they either don’t know how to win because someone else is doing it for them, or they can’t win because no one on their team can fight the enemy.
And I get that sometimes people will claim “Ah he’s smurfing” on someone who’s having a good game, but that doesn’t make it any less of a problem, especially when it’s actually IS happening

I love the deep talks of unique agent attributes. I specifically mean explaining Raze's imtuitively challenging advantagous duels w/ util.
I love Gekko as someone who can constantly force crosshair readjustment but as a d2 peak, I've thought honestly that might be someone else's specialty. Maybe Reyna for that specific purpose idk. Looking up vods and replicating is fair but sometimes it can be hard to determine the strengths of a pick for me.

@@akacryo565 I just heard about that recently. I think someone who is a lower rank can still give good advice and be a good coach. Like the PRX coach is a diamond player but obviously helps them. Definitely leaves a sour taste in my mouth and will find other ppl who are more upfront about their abilities

Bit of a mixed bag, I want hooj to grow as much as possible but if he does then suddenly silver becomes diamond cus everyone becomes a knower baha
Even if he grows so much that most Valo players watch him, it won't increase the general skill level of the player base that much. Think about how many people currently watch him that actually diligently apply his teachings as opposed to people who are just casual viewers and occasionally apply something they've learned from hooj.
Also, the player base of a competitive game generally just gets better over time anyway. I remember playing league in season 4 and a current silver player could probably compete with plats or maybe even low diamonds from back then.

@@cartozzzTV I understand ur point, I'm currently gold in EU and not sure if this is mmr not but on average every player plays the game to a decent standard gunfight wise, obviously only gold so gamesense isn't there yet but it's not like my team don't comm. This is such a massive difference from being in ranks like bronze/silver, seems like there's a massive skill jump when ranking up into gold/plat thanks to coaches such as hooj (these players don't magically get better and learn these more advanced concepts, it's all taught somehow, so I'd argue hoojs' influence beyond silver is relatively large compared to the player base. ) sorry ab the essay baha

this was actually one of ur better videos imo, mostly cuz i think the big reason why a lot of jett/reyna/chamber players cant play raze at a high level even pro players, is bc it is so unintuitive like you said. no joke when i stopped locking duelist every game and started playiong more sova/skye my raze got better even tho i didnt play it. goes to show why many of the best razes in the world are flex players and not duelist mains

So when you said he was insecure about taking the long A fight with ult instead of nade, what I was thinking as a non raze player is that I would also actually ult, so I can have my nade for backsite, because it's so strong in clearing and forcing people to peek, do you not think this is just as good? or would you still rather keep the ult without clearing backsite? I mean technically you do have an initiator that can do that but solo queue in diamond, yeah that's tough
