Baum was on fire and Samsonov was a little below average for him. I don't think Samsonov exactly gave his leads away, Baum had to hit some pretty great shots to keep his comebacks alive in the 2nd and 4th games.
wow, samsonov had really FOUL luck. But credit to Baum, he never once gave up, even at 10-5. Besides, Baum showed great technical ability and fitness to win.
@TTabacho I seriously doubt that it's due to Rosskopf. He's been coaching them since august 1st while Baum is improving constantly. Baum beeing in SF is not as surprising as kuzmin in semis last year. After all, had Vladi not blown his 10-7 and 10-5 lead in the second and fourth set, he could win easily 4-0. IMHO Baum could reach even the final because he already beat Schlager several times and this win will for sure boost his confidence a lot.
I am really glad for Baum and Suss but i feel both of them lack something Timo has which is style, is my own personal opinion though i wish i could play like them.

If you think about it, it's actually pretty cool: 2 German players beat Samsonov in the Euro Champs, and none of them is Timo.

Extrem geile Technik von Baum, aber ziemlich unsympathischer Mensch, erinnert mich an Gollum.
auch wenn er irgendwie unsympatisch ist und gefuehlte 136791357 netz- und kantenbaelle hatte goenn ichs dem jung irgendwie :)
