I had to use the 1” pieces as well. I tried to cut the 1.25” lengthwise and stuff it in but that didn’t work. So I did what you did and glued and ran a stainless screw through it. I tried to put Plastidip on the 1” but it only rubbed off. So I used duct tape on it to make it more snug. Great video. Thanks!
Only thing I recommend is where the mount section slides onto the pieces that sit in the pole holders is drill a hole through both and add a bolt with a wing nut. That way theres no way the 2 parts can come apart while on the water but will still be removable
This may break your heart, but if you mount the 2x4 to the 2 pieces of pvc that stick in rod holders, by just drilling a hole for a bolt trunk through pvc and wood, your done.
Man this video has helped me so much! Awesome idea y’all thank y’all a lot!
Good idea,
you could add rod holder on the back of the wood, nice

Nice setup. Why did u make motor mount board so high? Would it be more stable if it was closer to the kayak? Just wondering. Thanks
how did it effect the stability of the kayak? where did ya put the battery?
zip zip the stability was a little altered and I originally had the battery right behind the seat
How was it over all?
Wait so I use a 1 inch PVC for the rod holder holes Wright?
Put it in the water.
