  • Annapurna Circuit trek is probably one of world's most beautiful treks. It will take you through a wonderful variety of landscape and culture, from the subtropical lower Marsyangdi valley where Gurung and Thakali settlements dominate to the northern arid Buddhist areas. Along the Marsyangdi river, on easy trails and suspension bridges, through rice terraces and forests, you will slowly gain altitude and acclimatize well. After leaving Pisang one can get stunning extremely up-close views of snowy and glaciated high peaks including Annapurnas II, III and IV. This remote area lies in a rain shadow formed by the Annapurnas and the landscape supports little in the way of forest apart from pine, juniper and scrub rhododendron. Huge glacial moraines abound, etched deeply by wind erosion into fantastic pillars. The Thorong La Pass (5415 m) is one of the highlights of this trek. Moreover the religious sanctity of Muktinath and the mules and peculiar customs of Jomsom will leave you spell bound.

I just want to thanks all of you for your outstanding good jobe for posting all the beautiful sceneries in the youtube video, I hope now everyone will enjoy themselves watching this video, Nepal is one of the natural beautiful place on the earth but the lazy Nepalese rulers are not doing much that they should. The other, now at least finally something is happening in Lumbini where Gautam Buddha was born. I hope this place also will bring big touris in Nepal in the future, by Udim Gurung

For the Annapurna range things really start in Pokhara ( bad spelling maybe ).The Annapurnas have many different routes, but I think you could do Pun Hill in that time. That's at a little over 10,000ft, you should be ok with that. Pun Hill is in the middle of the range, so the trick is to get up before dawn and climb Pun hill, so you see the sun rise from there, lighting up the snow covered mountains, makes them look like the're made of gold.

Namaste! Our Annapurna Circuit takes roughly 14 days--depending on the group and weather conditions. Poonhill can be done in 6 total days---counting leaving from KTM. All of our treks can be customized. Come into one of our offices in Thamel on Mandala Street or next to KTM Guesthouse. We can sort out your next Himalayan adventure!!

    Just spotted your question.
I've done this circuit twice, it takes about 10/12 days, depends on which route you take, but you must acclimatize at Manang, so you spend one day just resting and eating at 15,000 ft, after that it becomes hard.
I suggest that you make yourself as fit as possible before you go, but it'll be the altitude that gets to you.
I prefer this route to the Everest trek, far more interesting, Everest route is just there and back
I'm back in Nepal next month, I go often.

Thanks very much. Hope this beautiful region will not be littered and spoiled by ugly sign/hoarding boards and concrete boxes.

Thanks very much for your response. I would really love to do this trek, unfortunately I won't be able to a trek for greater than 4-5 days long due a medical condition of one of the group I am going with.
Are there shorter variations of the above? Of course, for an experienced trekker like yourself I am sure there will be no comparison to the 10-12 treks you do.
Enjoy Nepal next month, I will be going there in November for the first time. Really looking forward to it.
