Hi, great channel and very clear instructional for the R3 and I thought I can do this however, I found that my home being an old property the lighting circuit is not wired as the modern loop system. Now I’m stumped, can you offer any alternatives please? RT.
Hi, can I connect a Sonoff Dual R3 like this one to a garage curtain door that has an electronic board with a radio remote for opening, stall and closing with the same button? I tried connecting like you did, but my double switch that I have outside to open and close does not have the classic 3 wires (phase, up and down), it just has 2 wires that go to the board with the photocells, one is central like a phase, and the other one is connected to both sides of the double switch, like a car window opener button. I tried so to wire the Sonoff without using S1 and S2 and intercepting the rolling engine up and down cables, connecting these ones to L-out-1 and L-out-2, but with no success. It literally did nothing... Can I try the reverse? I mean to connect the 2 wires to S1 and S2 and to leave the engine on the board? Because when I tried the first configuration, and tried to rise up the door, the power went out, but I just intercepted, as I said, the engine wires with no mistakes. It seems that this Dual R3 is good for normal situations without electronic, but my aim is to emulate the remote control (open, block, close, re-block, re-open and so on, with 1 button), so how can I do if my doubleswitch is that weird?

I was looking to get a circuit into my doorbell so I could connect it to my API when some one rang my door bell i could run a specific sound or turn a specific light via my own API. But i don't seem to be able to find a circuit that i could easily put in my doorbell.. any ideas? i would really appreciate it. Eventually i would like to do the same with other switches... press a button or something at home and send a wifi signal... As a last resource I guess i would have to connect a raspberry to my doorbell or something... but doesnt seems right
Tuya smart switches don’t have “save last state” on any of them. So if there’s a power cut in the middle of the night all your lights will all come on when the power comes back on.
Great video thanks. Do you know if you could use the DualR3 with one of the manual switches on the NSPanel using the same wiring method? So you could use eWelink and the NSPanel switch interchangeably to turn on and off as a 2 way switch
Hello! Please can you tell me? i need 2 cables to connect together the two external switches? because i think i have only one wire...did you have a video with the connections of the cables? Thanks
Can you install this in the light socket, the one me between the light switches at the bottom of your diagram? If so can you please advise the wiring solution for this. Thank you.
I have a problem with this configuration. I have the Sonoff controlling a light and the external switch is at a distance of approx. 20 m, however it turns on and off continuously causing the light to blink a lot. If I remove the cable that is at the S1 input, the problem is solved, but I can no longer control it locally with the switch. Any ideas for a solution?
I have same problem. 2 way light switches are 35m apart (farm shed with switch at each end). The smart switch switches rapidly on and off (flashing lights) when use the switch to turn lights on but works if switches in off position and use the mobile app. Did you find a solution?
Hello everybody! Has anyone succeed to have it connected on Google Home? I have 6 Dual R3 which I use on motorized roller shutters which works extremely well and smooth on Ewelink app but none of them is controlled over Google Home. Despite of that I have a couple of Sonoff basic which are easily controlled over Google home and of course on Ewelink app. Is anyone able to help me? Thank you in advance
@@fabiolucheroni2094 i find an answer.the Google assistant doesn't recognise the sonoff users interface as a motor, inly as a switch . maybe in the future can recognize it as a motor switch and not as a light
Nice try. This only works if both switches are in the same box which is unlikely. The if the sonoff is in the box with switch1 the output of switch 2 needs to travel back to the sonoff. The output going to the light will likely be in the Sw2 box. This is an additional 2 wires to be run through the wall.
this wouldnt be done this way now -its much easyer to fit one wall switch T2UK1C-TX (wifi+ rf) then have a t2eu1c-rf switch remotelly so you have app + 2 way switching with no aditional wiring the remote switch is coin cell powered i only wish they had a 240v powered version with backlighting to see it at night -ive converted mine to have backlighting (using the existing status led at dim blue) and powered off 18650 lithium in the back box -lasts about 8 months on one charge powering the led with 0.3ma which matches the brightness of the mains powered switches
If you don't have the pesky neutral wire behind your light switch, I devised a "no-neutral" hack circuit, that works with the dual-r3 ruclips.net/user/shortsWXQtRh0gYJM?feature=share

@@GeekStreet you're welcome Bro
Another great video but let me say that All Smart switches can be two ways as well. In fact, multi-ways. No need for special wiring.
Thanks, yes using smart scenes, but interesting with this you can leave your existing switches in place and make it smart.

Hi is there a wireless solution to convert a 1 gng 1way SW to a 2 way switch ( other 2 way switch would be kinetic)?
I want to use this on my water tank float switch. It will save me time and money, as I won't need to pull in cables to the tank!
Thanks for the video =)
Shelly mini can also do the same functions, it’s also smaller in size so it fits into a standard light pendant.

This isn't the 1st switch to do this, Tuya smart switches has this functionality for more than a year.

Can you use 2 or more "push switches" on one channel (with pulse mode)?
Hi, can this setup be used for metering the power consumption of two different aircondition units ?
This is brilliant. Thanks for the advice

can I use this as SPDT switch ( I want to open and close damper with wifi ) its got 3 wire Neural open and close

I have a massiv problem connecting this. I have other sonoffs connected successfully. I am using IOS and eWeLink app.
Can this be used with a fridge to set timers ....
Fridge timers? Not sure why you would want this as shouldn't a fridge be on all the time.
Would it not be easier and safer to use a Google/Alexa compatible smart bulb
That's the easier option definitely, but your screwed if someone turns off the switch.
Nice one
nice
Nice.....
Thanks
Because I live in a rented property, I can't do that so I might get some flic buttons....
