      My problem wasn't really that, the chicken I get always comes with a tendon as well as blood clots and this kind of white stretchy thing idk what it is. Ngl I was hoping to find out how to trim those parts off as well without waste.

    • @brandyfreeman4098
      @brandyfreeman4098 Год назад +1

      @@shoobzy3431 , the white stretchy tendon is easy to remove. You’re going to need a fork & paper towels. It’s very difficult to explain so look up how to remove chicken tendon with fork. You will have tons of different videos to watch. Once you get the hang of it it’s simple. No more biting into your chicken & getting a mouthful of that tendon.

    you don't have to cut it or pound it so much if you roast it in the oven. If you use a lower heat like 350 it will cook all the way through

      Everyone has their one opinions and reasons for washing it, but drying it helps to keep your hands on the chicken when cutting it. When its all wet and slimy, it’s hard to get precision cuts.

    Think about it, if bacteria really spread that fast by simply exposing it to water or a liquid then how could you ever marinate your chicken? Wouldn't bacteria be growing in your marinade? There is nothing wrong with gently washing chicken. I do it in a colander in my sink. Some top chefs do it all the time. What you shouldn't do is splatter the water all over your counter, work surface and clothing. Just remember to always wash your sink and your hands after handling raw chicken. I've been washing chicken forever and haven't gotten sick once.

    • @wilburcobb4596
      @wilburcobb4596 6 лет назад +6

      Yeah... The issue is, why risk the possible spreading of bacteria, when you are just going to cook the chicken? .... Washing your chicken does it no good...
      For the record... The bacteria does grow in the marinade, that's why you must marinate in the fridge inside a sealed container. Afterwards, dispose of the marinade or boil it right away to decontaminate it.
      You see, bacteria growth rates are mostly effected by temperature. A reason why it can be dangerous to use warm water with chicken is because water has a high specific heat and it gets into the cracks of the meat. This means water will transfer a lot of heat into cold objects before temperature equals out, and water can do this fast since the meat will draw heat from all over, inside and out.
      This will cause bacteria to multiply fast since bacteria typically grows in the nanoseconds at room temperature.
