Aurora and her sister made all of the clothing and jewelry themselves. It took 3 days for Aurora to gather all of the pearls because she took them off of some clothes she had. Also they filmed the music video during quarantine, so the dancers are 2 of aurora's friends.

On her live stream before the release of this song she told us that she wrote this in 2017, but did not feel it was right to release it then. But because of the corona situation in the world she felt that what the world needs right now is a love song. So this is a love song to all of us from Aurora
It's amazing how she can write a song so late, then release it later in the future and it sounds so well. Aurora really is a unique being and I freakin love that
It literally feels like she's singing to me personally. And I love you too!
I literally see nobody mention this on any video so I have to comment when she sings "like I was torn apart the very minute I was born and you're the other half, the only thing that makes me whole" she's referencing the Greek myth of soulmates!! It literally ties into the music video referencing the painting of the Greek goddess of love Venus. She's a genius.
I feel like she is also referencing twin flames
Venus was the roman mythology, in greek it was Afrodite... just a mythology nerd...
Notice how no one is in the theater. All the seats are empty. She recorded this during these corona times, and she said that this song would hopefully raise awareness that we only exist for love and even though we are currently in quarantine all isolated and sad. I love her!

"She tickles you when she sings!" I couldn't have said it better - sweet!
The audio is actually form the demo, the very first recording Aurora did, and the same is true for the guitar. Aurora wanted the voice and accompanying to be as sincere and vulnerable as it could be and she felt that the small imperfections therefore made it perfect just as it is. The string arrangement was made by English composer Isobel Waller-Bridge, she and Aurora collaborated on the track from their respective isolation of recent weeks. So very fitting for these quarantine times, a very much a very low key production of both musical track and of the music video.
This sounds like something Snow White would have sung. So timeless!

To David - Aurora wrote this song in 1 hour when she was 11 years old. She looks young, but was actually 19 years old at the Nobel performance.
Little Boy In The Grass live at Nidarosdomen.
To David - Aurora wrote Little Boy In The Grass when she was 15 years old after the Utøya massacre, Norway's one and only mass shouting where 69 teenagers was killed, one of them was a close friend of Aurora.

The imagery is inpired by Venus, the goddess of love. In the Botticelli painting, the principal colors are blue and pink and she is in a shell. A lot references for wave, sea, juste like the song

Soft Universe live at Nidarosdomen because I absolutely love this song.
I have always seen it as a song about daring to love again after having been hurt (and I still do, a song can have multiple meninges) and it was eye opening to learn that Aurora wrote the song as a tribute to everyone who fights for inclusively and love, for the environment and for political change and that that is why she wanted it to end as it did, because demonstrations can turn violent and the endings represents gunshots.

About filming of this music video. AURORA said she wrote this song back in 2017 and didn't feel like releasing it 'till early this year. She recorded it in January/February and shot the music video in March, but she said they were keeping the distance between them while filming.

IMO this is the best version by far. The one from Nidarosdomen she sing no relaxed, some uncertainties and inaccuracies.
I'm glad she released this on my birthday. I cry every time I hear this song. I'm glad that at least theres one artist who recognizes love

This is ART and the best live version of this song ever made (in my opinion) and it could be the official music video, it is so awesome.
To David - her band is behind the curtain and this was very live, she fell on her bum during the last song and promptly got up again and continued to sing and dance.

Bjork definitely came first haha. Bjork started doing music as a teen and started her solo stuff in '93. She's from Iceland and they can have similar accents as Norwegians, at least when singing English, so it makes sense why Aurora gets compared to Bjork. But their genres are pretty different. Bjork does some music you might consider..... experimental? A lot of songs where I'm like, this sounds amazing but I don't even know where the melody is. If you did do a reaction video to one of her songs that would be awesome, though.
You don't even have to react to it, but I recommend Under Stars from the 2018 Lollapalooza (full concert online but there are time stamps). I love that song and the way she performs it live
