My academic goals (even though I have not yet joined Accepted - plan to do so) 1 Pass my PhD confirmation 2 Finish my article with my supervisor 3 Travel to the US for archival research 4. Extra goal - get back to reading for pleasure. Have slackened off this year bc of research reading and have missed it.
I don't usually comment, Cait, but congrats! It was the Symposium weekend and the excitement around that and what not that finally got me to join in to Accepted! My academic goals for this year: 1. Successfully finish all of my required coursework and venture into comp exams 2. Submit one of the articles I have for publication 3. Plan (and hopefully take) a month-long archival trip/journey to get what I need for the dissertation ...probably three of the most labor-intensive goals I could have picked, but if I can get even one of them fully complete, I will consider it a success. Again, congrats! It has been a privilege to watch your journey since you started on YT!
Thank you so much for your kind words Kayla 🥰 and so thrilled you joined Accepted! Looking forward to seeing you in the study sessions! I think those goals are very obtainable and look forward to celebrating them this time next year 😁
Hi Cait, Colleen here from the PH from the Symposium, online. Thanks so much for all the good words that you and Kaelyn have said in the Symposium and the work that Accepted has been doing for us scholars. This is pushing me to go on, excel and have good influences in my PhD Sociology journey in UP Diliman. ❤📖👩🎓 My three goals for this time next year are: 1. To get a 1.1 (A) in my last class (Theory Construction) this incoming semester. 2. To get an average of 1.1 (A) in my comprehensive exams in the second semester. 3. To be able to attend the Accepted Symposium in person next year in the U.K. ^_^ I've actually been to the U.K. for a summit (the Global Youth Summit 2011) in our network, Global Changemakers. Thanks, all. Hoping to join Accepted real soon as well once I'll get things sorted out on my end. Cheers!
I love these goals for you Colleen and thank you for all your kind words and support at the symposium ❤️ look forward to welcoming you to accepted society when you’re ready!
I had such a lovely time meeting you and everyone else last weekend! Congratulations again and going into the third year of my PhD is going to be made so much better by being in Accepted Society xx
Congratulations! I’m going to be subscribing to accepted soon since I will be applying to my masters programs this fall. It does seems like a great fit for the both of you and your journeys alone and together.
Thank you so much 🥹 That’s amazing! We will be running admissions programmes soon too so keep a look out for that to help with the masters applications
