I have been eyeing Northwood products for a while. They have some industry leading features, but fall behind in some very basic stuff. Like: make the browns go away. Ditch every inch of carpet. Add 12v fridge. Consider a 15k AC with soft starters. Go to MCD shades. Unfortunately, these basic things continue to push me away. So unfortunate.
Hey Kevin, you are right for sure, they are industry leaders with their builds but pretty basic with other things. You should look at their sister MFG. Outdoors RV as an option, they are quality built units with a little more vibrant interiors. Thanks!! Cass
I agree with your assessment. Unfortunately, these issues cause me to look elsewhere. Outdoors RV is pretty much the same story. Too bad, as they are well made RVs.
Hello! Check out this link, this will go to our website with all of our Nash 26N OTG's. I went out and took photos to cover what I missed in the video. smithrv.com/index.php/inventory/results/ed5b19c2a3becd6c41ba1be5fe9f773e/ You will want to click on the one labeled (2023 Nash 26N (OTG) - 1) Let me know if you need anything else!! Thanks!! Cass
Hey Janet, you are right, under the bed is not insulated. However, the inch thick insulated pass through doors and automotive grade bulb seals do a pretty good job. Our shop could install a layer of R15 astro foil in the pass through storage to give a little peace of mind. Thanks!! Cassidy
@@debbiejamison3883 I see, yes, you are right. I spoke with our Northwood rep, he feels that the 1 inch thick compartment doors with automotive grade bulb seals and the radiant heat from the in floor ducting does a pretty fair job at keeping it warm. However, we both agreed that you cannot insulate too much. We both thought that doing foam board insulation across the full front wall inside the pass through storage would be a good help.

Dude, this isn't a off road trailer, off grid isn't the same thing. It has axles and an awful riding suspension because of the leaf springs. If you want a comparison of what a off road trailer is then check out the videos of ROA. They sell and test actual off road trailers. Other then that, this is a nice looking trailer.
Indeed! We just received a Nash 25DS with the OTG package. We will be detailing it soon and I will get photos for the website, www.smithrv.com and a video on youtube. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Cass
Good Morning! It's not an option on the build sheets, and I just verified with Northwood to see if they could option it in for us, unfortunately, they cannot do it. I agree it is a nice option, as least with 1 air conditioner it as not a much needed. Thanks!!
@@jacksonwades211 I hear you there! The Arctic Fox brand (Nash sister product) has a 50 amp service option with 2 AC's on the Arctic Fox 29RK and 32A as an option for you. Thanks!!
Great video. Your quality would be greatly improved if you could invest in a lapel microphone. Very hard to hear you especially on the outer walk arou.
Good Morning! Yes, thermal pane windows do a great job on cutting the cold and heat in the summer. Northwood does not put a rating on how cold their coaches will go, but our customers have reported they can operate comfortably with water down to 0 to -30 degrees. There are a lot of factors that play into it, humidity, which way the trailer is facing with wind etc.
They aren’t true insulated windows. Just two panes of glass glued together. They make only a tiny bit more of r-factor. They do make it quieter and less chance of sweating
As the owner of a 2022 Nash 24M purchased new I can not say enough about the LACK of Quality Workmanship (SHODDY × 2) @ Best! The dealer where purchased is unbelievably BAD - I could write a book on their Neglect in prepping the coach for pick up (even though he Held it for a long time).. I know not why. What a DIRTY JOKE he is..He never corrected a Slew of STUFF that was WRONG. The worst mistake of my 80 years and I was so depressed I will not go near the place. It sure was The Deal of a Lifetime.... Northwoods = a name to Remember!!! Lowerys RV (NM) Best forgotten.
Hey Ella, I'm very sorry for your disappointment in the NW product. This is just my opinion so keep that in mind. These RV's are still built by people who do make mistakes. Being on the dealer side, it is definitely our job to correct these things before they go out. Unlike a lot of dealerships who want you gone as soon as you sign paperwork, we want and encourage customers to stay in our parking lot in the new unit and spend a day or two or some have for longer to get familiar with the new unit and uncover any unforeseen issues. If we can ever help, please let us know. Thanks for watching!! Camping Cass
Good feature from you doing the underside view.
Nice unit and very good walkthrough.

RV manufacturers should think in details to include all RV have washer/dryer prep in the near future.
Yes!! It's nice to have the option! Thanks!! Cass

The space under the bed is not insulated. That's a must. Very small kitchen but then it's not very long either.
