Hey JD hope you're doing great? I'm glad that you are showing the true off-road trailers that ROA has! The ROAMER1 is amazing, it really blew me away! To be able to buy a off-road travel trailer an have everything that you need to go camping straight from dealer is hands down the best in my book! Like you said JD the ROAMER1 is one sexy beast!!!! Tell Shane that I hope that they keep it up with the awesome thing that they do!!!! Your number one fan Leonard from NC. An let Shane know I'm a big fan of theirs now.
I’m so excited to see more of these “Aussie style” trailers coming and being made in the USA. It’s a step in the right direction! I just wish they had a triple kids bunk version!
There are so many design ques on this trailer other manufacturers should start incorporating into their designs now. Very amazing design trailer. Great job!
This trailer is GREAT!! A couple of things that concern me are the lack of window (& door) screens because the Mosquitos down here in Alabama ain't playing! And that awning. It doesn't look like it's a power awning to me, which as an Old Broad I find worrisome. I know it's marketed for the young folk to take out and play hard, but I love it too!! I'd use it for dry camping in a second!
Can you imagine this being your first trailer?! Airstream used to be the dream. USED TO BE! Even the one axle AS Basecamp X couldn’t get to the places this 2 axle, 26” luxury trailer could. I really want to try that suspension on the washboards and babyhead strewn “roads”.
The Roamer1 looks like an awesome Off Roader and Off-Grid trailer. For some people that just want to get out and / or live in the true outdoors, and price is not a significant factor, this is the perfect off-road and adventure trailer. ROA did a great job with the Roamer1.
Saying money doesn’t matter to all of us is very insulting. Glad you’re financially stable enough to not care, but there are plenty of us that do care.
Definitely an improvement over the basic X195, I like the added TV, I placed an order and contacted imperial outdoors about getting a TV added and got a cold reception, they replied and said an outlet had been added and that I could get a TV on my own because current trend was moving toward devices and tablets so they were moving in that direction and leaving the choice of a TV up to the customer. I didn't fancy the idea of drilling holes in the wall, drilling for a coax cable, drilling through the roof for an antenna which would be hard since solar panels take up all the space. I have since canceled the order and I'm leaning toward the Palomino Pause now, the big thing I dislike about the Pause is that little side bar with the two barstools, I'd much rather have the dinette booth like the Romer/x195, without the bed folded away for the couch, the Pause has no sitting area... I wish I could combine the two and get what I wanted..
I know what you mean, but every RV is never going to have 100% of what you want. I myself try to get at least;80% of what I’m looking for. I’m a carpenter, so I’m okay with taking things apart and making it my way. If you don’t have the skills to do it yourself, maybe pay someone to do it.
I am looking forward to seeing you review the Brinkley model G. I've seen Josh, Myles and Matt, but it won't be complete until I see yours....no pressure, but please 😁
can you evaluate the induction cook top power usage off grid? seems like it would draw a lot of power... take a Lot of batteries and solar to make that work like the AC
This is awesome. I just dont care for the dry toilet. Too much garbage. Id rather have a black water tank. But, you guys did a great job on this one. The only other small critique, the interior cabinets look too much like the over head bins in a commercial plane.
This is an amazing trailer. It is not at the same level but still reminded me the Bruder Australian trailers. Embers are great trailer. Just serve a different market. It is like buying a real Mercedes vs a 200 series Mercedes. The 200 series Mercedes is like a Nissan Altima with Mercedes logo. I assume the price point of this ROA RV must be over $125,000. A loaded Ember RV is $60,000 I didn't see a fridge on the pullout kitchen. Did I missed it? Do they have a bunkhouse model? I assume the
Is there any reason to be concerned with the fact that some of these trailers have the batteries under your sleeping area? I'm just not sure how comfortable I would be with that set up. That is one of the many reasons I like the pause trailers because of the batteries being contained in the back of the trailer. Plus that garage is a great place to haul some other larger items.
As far as I am aware, it is not an issue. RV lithium batteries are very safe, don’t release any gases, and the battery management systems protect them from shorts that would cause any sort of fire. Is there any other things I’m missing? I’ve never thought it to be an issue but if there is something else I’m curious to know
Could anyone answer this question can you put hooks up inside to do a hammock at end of where bed is for another sleeping area? Id rather have a single bed area sleeping instead of over head cabinets where sleeping area is..like push bed to side away from door then add bed slat area they can use fold away ladder to acess area..
I love your trailer, but as a disabled veteran on a fixed income, I would never be able to afford it. I had to sell my little trailer because I could not go on trips with it. It was too small and I am a big man but I want you to know that looking at your trailer it is a remarkable piece of equipment that if I could afford it, I would buy it, I’m not a fan of the outside kitchen because I like cooking inside more than outside
To be able to purchase a ROAMER 1 fully loaded like what you just showed us JD how much will it cost to get one? I'm just amazed at it an how it is built. With Shane an his partners using them an knowing what each true off-road travel trailer can do is amazing an great! The 1240 watts of solar blows my mind plus 1080 amp hours of lithium batteries is mind blowing!!!!!!! Keep up the great work that you are doing Jd! Your number one fan an friend Leonard from NC.!!!!
The first thing I might request/change on this unit would be a Murphy bed so that if it's a couple camping together they can each have their own "personal" area, maybe with a Lagun mount so they can do their own table things or computer work without being in each other's space. The second thing (if it's not already included) would probably be thermostatic heating pads for the batteries; also for the freshwater tank too, again if not already included.
@@CaptainRudy4021 That's possibly true, but for a rig costing over $100K it's not unreasonable to ask for those features if possible. Just because something is purpose-built doesn't mean it shouldn't be the best purpose-built unit it can be. If I make a snack to be filling is it wrong for a potential buyer to ask for it to taste good or look appealing too if those things don't infringe on the intended purpose?
@@CaptainRudy4021 There's more than one way to skin a cat. I've seen murphy platforms that hinge and fold. It's interesting that you seem to only respond with negativity; instead of acknowledging that tank and battery heaters are a good idea for an RV that's advertised to operate at -40 or try to make an idea work; you seem determined to argue that I'm not allowed to have the opinion I do.
Not sure how a separate awining would cover the outdoor kitchen area with the down slope. I believe Ostrich awining (Rugged Bound Supply) makes a 270 bat wing that covers the whole passenger side and wraps around the back as well but it's still may not cover as I believe this trailer is 24 feet long. Probably bump the cost up to 160k with awining and install. Just a guess as I have no idea what a mod like this would cost
Have a question about the blinds that are for day/night that you slide up for privacy but yet you can see out of.. what is the name of those or where can I get them
I am not able to go off-roading due to my health but if I was able to I would go in a second. And this rv looks like it would be perfect to go in. Very nice and well thought out! Only one question, what’s with the outside griddle? It looks used. If someone were to buy this would you replace the griddle top before you sell it? Just curious!
I think that's Shane's personal trailer, he has a video of him using the outside kitchen to burn his bacon lol I seriously hope that you'll be able to go offloading in the future. It's so much fun and i wouldnt want anyone to miss out on stuff like that. I hope that you're health gets better. Godspeed.
With other dealers doing an outdoor kitchen, who wants to pay an extra $20k to buy from a guy on youtube? And I thought most of us pulled the dealer stickers off our new trucks because “we aren’t advertising for them” but someone will pay $155k to show their dealer edition camper?
Lithiums can catch fire when they go bad. I rather see them in the back of the trailer than under the bed 🛏️. I haul Lithiums and they are Hazardous material. "Contain flammable electrolyte that will burn rapidly when damaged or overcharged"...as per the Hazmat guide book.
That is if you get cheaper lithium batteries that have not safety systems on them. That is old technology. These type of lithium don’t don’t catch fire.
I love how excited Shane was about showing off their inhouse designed unit. That this is absolutely amazing
OH baby this is one is for the history books. Such a beautiful piece of offgrid overland heaven!
❤ hope these are still available when I retire in a few years 2026/2027

Unbelievable. That is an incredible rig, well done!!
Beautiful wish it had a kitchen and a couch that stays that way! We would purchase one if it had it separately
Thank you for sharing this with us ❣️
This is the nicest trailer I have seen to date. In the research process. This checks so many boxes !! Phenomenal !
High class camping for sure. Amazing job. Wish it was a toy hauler option. But simply amazing!
love it and you see from distance the good quality keep ongoing guys >>>> but but please go Europe with this you will sell them for sure thanks
The firearm safe next to the bed sold me 👌

What an outstanding piece of kit; great video JD, thanks for sharing
A beautiful rv and a fun series to look at the many many options, plus great ideas for your own build if you decide to take that route.
I would love to see one of these designed more for families. Maybe I'm the only one but would love to see more sleeping space.
Would love to see an attached drop down table to the left of the entry door
I thought some of their trailers were impressive, this one though WOW! “VERY COOL”
Wow, just wow!
Shane is the real deal for sure. Met many exactly like him when I've been to Utah, passionate about their hobby and in his case business as well.
love your crossover vids with other RUclips guys like JT and TFL, gimme more of that!
They nailed it
I like the trailer that Shane added the extra ducting for heat. If you have not seen the "mod squad" series you need too.
Add water, food, and a dirt bike or two, and go camping. These guys thought about, and included, everything it seems! Wow, what a rig!
21:34 That’s me! I’ve never owned a trailer… yet I’m seriously considering buying one within the next 3 years.
AWESOME!
Definitely the coolest camper I've ever seen. Would love to have one. Saw another comment never got response, whats the price?
I WANT ONE! awesome
Wow, the suspension lift is incredible.
Love this !

Ok.. Need to start my second job for a couple years to buy this beast 😁
How often do you need to empty out the dry flush toilet? After each use? Daily? Weekly?
Can you get any of these off road RVs at a discount or should you expect to pay full sticker for one of these?
TWO WORDS BAD ASS
Wow, you literally don’t need anything else. I’d like to see one like this with some bunks of some sort, too.
Great video. I was just looking at the Ember Trailer but it was already broken at the dealership 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️.
I think I’d buy that one. Like a US made Brüder. Just because it’s built here.
Ya know... a truck camper designed, built and modeled after the Roamer 1 would be pretty flippin awesome too!
Cool
I just wish the outside kitchen was under the canopy.
Absolutely cool trailer. Question, will there be a bunk house version. I want one but need it to have bunks for the kids.

You forgot to give pricing for the Roamer1. Size of truck needed to tow it??
Can you option a stargazer window over the bed?

I would imagine the facilities in both SLC and South Carolina would provide a hot climate for testing.
