    A couple things I would change:
    10 cf fridge with side pantry. 16 cf is too big for this unit and you need to store your food somewhere.
    Larger, deeper square sink, need room to wash pots, pans, etc
    Smaller bathroom sink. I would rather have more counter space with smaller sink.
    Would like about 500# more CCC
    Things I like:
    Air suspension with air compressor
    Back storage area. I would like back wall with Milwaukee Packout. Maybe a sink or spray port in rear storage area. Make sure floor/walls are waterproof
    Outdoor table with pass through window above - awesome
    Walk-in wheel fenders
    Outdoor kitchen (hopefully optional for those who want more storage).
    Rear bath is awesome
    Murphy bed allows more interior space.
    No wood. Great idea.
    Lots of windows.

    When I first started watching the interior, I was thinking they'd do a wet bath...but that separate shower, just wow. This would be the absolute ticket for a couple heading up to Alaska. Rugged, but with all the comforts of home.

    • @kswaynes7569

      You are correct in your assessment of trailer needs to travel the AlCan Highway! Returned from Alaska to Kansas in 10 days of travel mid-September. 75 miles NW of Anchorage and the roads get so bad you cannot avoid potholes. Alaska and the Yukon Territory have bridges out from damaged/overflowing beaver dams, so you are traversing onto temporary gravel/mud bypasses. Roads through the Yukon and Northwestern British Columbian are rough from frost heaves. Roads around Edmonton are beautiful, but Saskatchewan roads are just rough. Down through the Central Prairie states of the US, roads are good but there are still some well used up roads. Just a gorgeous drive and you will wish you had taken 3 weeks to just enjoy it.

    You should definitely get one of those to review! That's an awesome rig, I like that one better than the black series. The only thing I would say on that rig that might be an improvement would be to find a way to get a door between the bathroom and the rear storage, so if your out in the wilderness or hunting for instance you could come through the rear storage into bathroom similar to like a mudroom in a house. just my opinion.

    For anyone watching, don't deflate your trailer tires off road. Keep them solid. You will turn your trailer into more of an anchor than it already is. Deflated trailer tires increase rolling resistance. Deflated vehicle tires increase contact surface of wheels that supply actual traction.

    • @trackrat62
      @trackrat62 Год назад

      I was wondering about that. I'm familiar with airing down the truck tires - I would have thought that the QD for the air line would be located near the tongue to more easily reach those.

    • @arkos55
      @arkos55 Год назад +1

      Unless you’re on the beach. You absolutely want to deflate all tires on the tv and the trailer on deep sand. Learned the hard way. Otherwise your trailer will dig right in.

    • @Rocco3x
      @Rocco3x Год назад +2

      I disagree. Unless you’re towing with an engine that strains to pull this thing, the extra rolling resistance is negligible. I’d rather air down and give the tires the flexibility to handle rough terrain.

    There's no doubt that this one will be very pricey,and they probably don't expect to sell a bunch of them, but it gives them something where they don't have to get cheap to compete with every other manufacturer.

I was also surprised at how little room there was. There is virtually no place to actually work in there. I get rid of the larger fridge and have more space. But it’s the bed that made it the absolute no go for me. Also the question that I would have is that if everything works off of the Garman pad and it needs Wi-Fi if you’re out in the middle of nowhere and there is no cell signal. It will be very interesting to see how they develop their product line.

    Overland Expo East is at Arrington, VA this week, Oct 7-9. My favorites, the Kimberly Kruiser series, will be there. It is not American made, and while the top-end T-class model is luxuriously expensive (well north of $150K) , it can carry 98 gallons of water, has no need for a black tank, and can be equipped with a small washing machine.

    You definitely got the scoop on this new offering. There's not even anything about it on the Palomino website (or anywhere else). Do you what brand the suspension is? I couldn't tell from the video.

    7000lbs!! 😮 surprisingly heavy for that little trailer. Takes it out of most half tons when loaded up

    Rivited aluminium frame will go to shit off road specially that A-frame, would've been better off with a 2"x2" box section frame then 6"x3" A-frame that runs down to the suspension and you will have the same ground clearance and a wider frame.
    Those "rock sliders" that sit higher then the frame and the wheels and wheel archbsit further out means that will do sweet F/A apart from take up payload.
    The propane bottles are tougher then that van but you put them behind a thin sheet of alloy to be pelted by rocks...cool.
    Look at the black series frame vs this frame and look at the inside width compared to this due to this rv having the wheels outside of the frame marking the inside alot skinnier.
    Those axles won't last on corrugations due to the axles being bolted to the suspension arms, there is a reason us aussies have a fully welded swing arm/axle stub.
    That much storage on the rear of the RV is asking for sway due to being rear heavy.
    Black series aren't that popular in the AUS for being offroad compared to other brands (zone RV, titanium, JB caravans, Vacationer, and many others)
    This reaks of americans trying to one up Australian ingenuity but failing to meet the mark by alot to be form over function.

    Soo unless the trailer blows over .. w/ hurricane winds .. you’re fine parking & sleeping by a bottom of a cliff.. (where rocks may fall down on the trailer). .

    I really like this trailer. American made is good! As cool as the Australian, China trailer is the fact that it’s made in China is a deal killer. They really have ticked every box!

      Agree. I'm surprised at how many adventure trailers that have Chinese manufacturing. The brands using China never seem to advertise that. I have found that if a manufacturer doesn't mention build location, it is probably made in China.

    You are right about they Irving the Australians a run for their money.
    White this one is not at the same pricepoint, it makes me remember the Bruder.
    This 20.3 is great. With that big fridge and 75 gals of fresh water, people could boondock for 3 weeks if there a dump facility nearby.
    I watched the RV Miles video and he showdased the 20.2. I assume it will be a separate video on this channel. The 20.2 is perfect for outdoorsmen. Two locking doors and options for a combination of fishing rod holders and/or long gun rack and it will be perfect. The outside kitchen is impressive too.
    From the RV Miles video I heard they will have a bunkhouse version too. I really like that these are rugged but you will not miss the home comforts.
    If you can get some specs, please post them at the beginning of the video like Josh the RV nerd. Most of a potential buyers considerations can be addressed in a spec sheet.

    If they made a basic structure for the bed of a pickup truck with that material (and built in rails for installing large solar panels on top). An over cab bed, windows, motion sensor lights n cameras that double as security.
    I think Id have gone with a deeper and rectangular kitchen sink with a board over for cutting/counter space. I agree with others, go smaller on bathroom sink for more storage. *Maybe have a mini pull out - tall deep but narrow (like they have in kitchens for canned goods?) But small scale for a 'medicine chest'? Easier to access than trying to find stuff in deep dark cabinets in a corner behind a toilet.
    Especially hard for us verically challenged! 😉
