Orion is incredibly underrated. You just need to have the right expectations. DONT EXPECT FURY AND FORGET THAT THE RIDE MAY BE A BIT SHORT. It will make it feel more fun and long. It is not about being the best thing ever, it is about pure fun. Forget the disappointment and look forward to it and you will enjoy it a lot more.

If I hit the lottery I'd do two things: 1) Build an amazing coaster and name it "Disappointment" just so its make all the most surprisingly good top 10 lists. 2) Buy 300 or so acres and rebuild all the now defunct former coasters (the good ones) just for nostalgia's sake.

In my opinion, a giga coaster must have a height or drop of 300-399 feet (same thing with hyper and strata coasters with 200-299 feet and 400-499 feet) and be a complete circuit, so by my definition, Red Force and Orion are both gigas.
Fury is the best, but Millennium Force will always be my favorite. It opened when I was 11 years old, I didn't get to ride it until I was 25. Years of dreaming about going to CP, playing RCT and building it, watching videos, and staring at the CP cameras all came to fruition at once and that's a rush of satisfaction you can never give up.
Orion surprised me!! I came in thinking it was going to be average. Not at all! The end for me is the most intense moment of the ride!!!! Goes out with a bang
I kind of knew that Intimidator 305 would be at the top of list when I clicked on the video. I just had a hunch because of the 5 intense rides I got when I visited Kings Dominion last year, and MAN, WHAT A RUSH IT WAS!
Ikr that just annoys me when people say apollos is a hyper but orion isn't a giga like bruh they both have the same "issue" with the drop being bigger than the lift thingy
Leviathan is my favorite so far. I really love the "out of control and along for the ride" feeling. It has so much more going on compared to Millennium Force. Shame that Leviathan ends abruptly. On the other end of the spectrum: I305 requires defensive riding to avoid being left with a nasty headache. Not a fan.
I've ridden Orion 63 times and imo Orion has pretty good pacing especially after it rains and later in the day. I rode it after a rainstorm once and it hauled. I also hope that once it starts running full trains, it hauls more than it does now.
Favorite Giga's and yes I've rode them all: 1. I305 2. Fury 325 3. Millennium Force 4. Leviathan 5. Orion Surprised Orion beat MF in pacing. It feels like MF's pacing is much better.
Very interesting. Love this series. Please do it for the inverts. I'm curious if Banshee's pacing is as strong as it feels. This list confirms my love for MF and it definitely being one of my favs. I enjoyed Leviathan but honestly wasn't super impressed. I haven't ridden Fury yet but want to, and don't get me started on Orion replacing Firehawk. But this video definitely confirms my desire to ride I305. Keep up the good work.

I’ve only had the chance to ride 2 Gigas: Millennium Force and Orion. Orion is more intense and forceful than Millennium Force and has more airtime, (especially on that first drop). But Millennium Force’s low to the ground speed gives it an advantage over Orion because after the trim break Orion kinda just slowly meanders it’s way through the rest of the course with just one good pop of airtime at the end. What Millennium Force lacks in airtime it certainly makes up for in speed and pacing. And those banked turns through the tunnels do have intensity I don’t listen to the people who call it Millennium Forceless. So until I ride Fury 325 I’m gonna say my favorite Giga is Millennium Force just because of the speed. And truthfully I like a good overbank as long as it’s done right. And that first overbank after the first drop on Millennium Force is amazing
I have been on Millennium Force, Orion, and Fury and Fury is my favorite since it takes millennium forces speed and Orion’s airtime and but it together. It is fantastic. My favorite is Fury, the millennium, then Orion. All great rides

I thought Orion was great and really fun but it was only my 2nd or 3rd favorite ride in the park behind diamondback and maybe Mystic Timbers. I fuckin loved Diamondback lol.
I’m honestly shocked I-305 was the “winner”. It’s the only giga I’ve been on so far, but it’s no where near my favorite coaster. I guess I just prefer airtime to intensity, because I think aside from the first drop, intimidator is just okay!

Orion has a weird transition to what feels like a mixed helix after the reverse treble clef (it feels like the designers ran out of ideas and space). That wave turn though 🔥🔥🔥.
Steel Dragon 2000 is a strange beast because it's Morgan track with B&M trains (said trains arrived in 2013). I'm not sure if we'll ever see another Giga. What I'd like to see is a B&M Hyper Invert!
Ride MIllenium dozens of times since 2001...my first giga even before I knew the meaning of giga! Leviathan is at my home park and proud of it...probably rode it easily 100+ times and still never gets old. Obviously not this year as CW is closed. Fury also incredible...went there June 2015, first year and not even a long wait...20 mins tops in regular line! Will miss Orion this year as I live in Canada with borders closed indefinitely. Hopefully in 2021! Maybe I’ll just catch more walleyes up here in Canada in the meantime
I had a video idea to review all of the giga coasters in 10 words or less (though I haven't ridden any of them, I'm still very much a GP) -Millenium Force: 8/10: Gravity knows no force, like Millenium Force. -Steel Dragon 2000: 6/10: For being a dragon, not a lot of fury here. -Intimidator 305: 7/10: Amazing how a person's most intense moment is a turn. -Leviathan: 9/10: The only reason to visit Canada's Wonderland. -Fury 325: 10/10: It's easily the best completely steel coaster. -Orion: 8/10: Yeah, because having a spaceship that has oxygen is overrated.
Kings Island is my home park and Orion is a great ride on its own, but it still feels like Cedar Fair went the “budget” route just to give the park a Giga.

It definitely will. There’s been times where Fury 325 has clocked in at over 100 mph, so that will likely be the case with Orion too!

Its because Orion has a much longer brake run, plus MF is much lower to the ground, making it feel even faster than it is.
