Stayed at mission pacific hotel not too long ago and enjoyed it, and I might explore it's next door sister the Seabird sometime in the future as well. Out of curiosity, which of the two do you guys think is the better resort overall? From the videos, Seabird seems to have a more nautical and colorful décor and a slightly more family friendly atmosphere, whereas Mission Pacific seems to have a more adult (there's a bar next to the pool) and restrained but still refreshingly coastal design language.
Your description is right on point! Initially, we only stayed at the Mission Pacific which we thought was extremely nice. We had breakfast at the Seabird and thought the decor in there was super cute and beautiful as well. After a few weeks, we stayed at the Seabird. It’s a more family friendly hotel and we actually liked the hotel even more than the Mission Pacific. Make sure to stop by the Woods Library at the Seabird! It is absolutely beautiful!
@@BevandRyan I eventually did have a chance to stay at Seabird, and I do prefer its overall nautical decor and design to Mission Pacific, and I loved that library inside (really enriches the atmosphere), though I do prefer Mission Pacific's slightly more sophisticated room designs and controls, as the Seabird's mattresses were a bit soft (subjective). I think overall Seabird is a little bit better on the grounds of overall design and a more cohesive nautical artistic vision, but Mission Pacific is a great hotel in it's own right and has a few winning cards of its own to play (more sophisticated room design, epic rooftop pool view). Both are solid works of socal hospitality art. Sad about the oceanside pier fire though, hope they can get it repaired soon.
@primeholyassasin20 although we prefer the Seabird, we don’t mind staying at either one. The library might be my favorite thing about the Seabird, such a relaxing and peaceful place to get away from everything!
Great video!! Quick question, is this the grand ocean suite with ocean front or just the regular grand ocean suite as the patio looks huge compared to the picture on the resort website.

The grand estate suite is the largest one and can be seen above during the balcony portion.
