I live in Oceanside back in 1997, so much has change.
It went from a Surf City to a Starbucks Yuppie Town, I really miss the old Oceanside.
But its much safer now then it was back in the 90s

@lifeinsandiego I've lived in O'side my whole life and graduated from OHS! While I agree with you that O'side is the last "affordable" beachside city in San Diego, please make sure that you are properly defining "affordable!" In comparison to, say, Carlsbad, yes O'side is "affordable;" however, my house in Arrowwood is valued at almost a Million dollars! It's hard to get into a home at less than around $700k, depending on where you wish to live in O'side. Forget the coast, west of the I5 freeway: you will be paying more that a Million dollars! Older homes, pre-fab, senior community homes, low square footage homes and mobile homes are priced reasonably well: around $300k to $400k; however, SFH's at 2000sf or more with three bedrooms that are outside those listed will command, at the low end, around $700k.
