    I prefer French, or swinging or folding but I went with Slider because we have pets and a screen door works with sliders. I can then have slider open for fresh air but my pets won’t be in danger from our wildlife. I wish Marvin was in my city, I did inquire.

    that's great point. I just wonder whether french door has screens as well?

      No, this door does not have a screen option. But I'll pass that along as a feature request for new revisions.

    What about the hinges on this out swing door? Can a thief knock out the hinge pins to remove the door

    • @HoustonWindowExperts

      Removing the hinges with not allow you to open the door with this configuration.

    This door looks so nice! Is the infinity line sliding patio door a similar thickness/ rigid ?
    After installing a Marvin essential line sliding patio door I was rather disappointed in the unit as the panels were very flexible in my opinion.

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  4 месяца назад +1

      It's comparable but less rigid due to the narrower profile.

      @HoustonWindowExperts is there any difference between Essential sliding door with Infinity sliding door? Thanks

      @jeffzhang3144 Video coming soon.
      Essentially, it's like General Motors. They have Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac.
      That's the same as Marvin having Essentials, Elevate, and Infinity.
      Each level has better construction, options, and aesthetics.

    I’m getting my builder’s grade 21 year old aluminum windows replaced with atrium 8300 series vinyl windows. Do you recommend that brand of window? Thank you for all your videos! I’ve learned a lot!

    • @HoustonWindowExperts
      @HoustonWindowExperts  7 месяцев назад

      I'm not a fan of Atrium. I replace a ton of them due to poor quality construction.

      @@HoustonWindowExperts do you think that was because of improper installation or just the brand itself? I’m going for the mid grade tier not the builder/construction basic grade.

      @abdelafify3845 the brand has issues. Sorry...

    Jeff,
    1) Are these Marvin Infinity doors built with the thicker fiberglass like their Infinity windows?
    2) Does Marvin offer *solid* exterior doors (no glass) in the Infinity series?
    3) Can we supply our own security glass and have them install it at the factory or at the dealer? (e.g. Riot Glass, Defenselite/Bulletshield)

      Thanks for your question.
      1. Marvin Essentials doesn't make a swinging door.
      2. No, they don't make doors without glass.
      3. You may be able to order a door without glass. But, you cannot send them your glass to install. I'd talk to a local dealer and have them reach out to Infinity.

    What about the exposed hinges being a security issue? A ballpark price would’ve been nice. I’m comparing a Fleetwood 4400-T with in-floor pivots and flush sill. The astragals on this door are not a great look imo.

      The pins have been tested and exceed the forced entry standards. In fact, in testing the pins, they found that it would literally damage the awl they used to try to remove them.
      Obviously, if the Mafia wants in, they'll find a way in. My guess is that they'd probably find a softer target than this door.
      By the way, even with the pins removed, the multipoint lock still retains the door closed.
      I used to be a Fleetwood dealer. I dropped them due to quality issues and a terrible attitude from the ownership when you needed warranty support. They ALWAYS blame the dealer, builder, or installer. They never own their own stuff.
      I'd avoid them at all cost.
      If you want a superior product that compares to Fleetwood, check out Western.

    $15k-$20k most likely but a very nice product for sure.
