    Don Pullen was extraordinary. Gone too young, but he left us the best gift ever: his awesome music. RIP Don. And, thank you. ❤

    i'm not familiar with goerge adams but woow, the guy became one of my idols in one song ahahah!!! Seems that mingus is letting him lot of freedom, he must be one hell of a guy !!!

      Nothing complicated, just hell of a good tenor saxophonist. It's all there, uses harmonics and a few subs but I don't think he was doing anything particularly obscure. Played with passion and power. Nothing to understand just feel it.

    I seen this group at the BOTTOM LINE that year. I didn't care for the trumpet player. He had a "look at me I'm a rock star attitude " about him, but his horn skills didn't. Everyone else was superb.

      we all need a little something to look at as they play and get us out of the blues so these guys fulfilled that purpose in spite of all their troubles
