You are very right. My perception is if one takes lot of sweet it may add to lesser transport of triptogen because insulin will be consumed in neutralizing glucose and will not be available for transportation of said component.
So a little bit sweet is good to feel happy. Consuming in excess will increase anxiety. So persons with case of anxiety shoud avoid consuming sweet in excess.
What about diabetes patients?

My perception is that, Insulin is not the transporter,so eating excessive sweet will not reduce the transporter to carry the triptophane .
