exactly. He doesn't have a normal sense of humor, and often it isn't easy to understand. Not for everyone. I personally am about 50/50 on his humor. Bill I get completely, Fred with me is hit or miss. He either isn't doing anything funny, or he whips out something so outrageous and amazing that it hits you over the head with how great it is. Fred's a visionary, and not all ideas or thoughts work. But he isn't afraid to try them all out to see which work and which don't. Bill might do 10 things funny. Fred might throw out 50 to see what sticks.

I live in Portland, a few blocks away from Armisen, and I can honestly say that Hader's impression of him is spot on. He comes in to where I work every week and explains what he wants, with his hands.
His impression wasnt bad, i love love love Bill and Fred and Carrie, but it was just so real and friendly and clear that it stopped being a parody of an impression and sticked to being just a friend mocking something normal of another friend. period. Now go love them both.
