Adeleine and Ribbon Speedart - Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards - Project Dream

- Remember when I said I expected for this video to be done back in January? Lmao, those were good times weren't they. Ok but for real though I don't know what happened, the start of this year flew by. :S I hate that I'm always starting these video descriptions apologizing for my speed (or lack there of) but again at this point there isn't really anything I can do at this point. But hang on! Who said this was "one" of my typical pieces? ;)
So regarding this artwork, there are actually two separate pieces of artwork here! The artwork for Adeleine, and the other for Ribbon. They both also connect together seamlessly to create a mural of sorts, similar to my 10 Years of Ultra. Not gonna lie, the plan wasn't to do two pieces of artwork, but trying to incorporate Adeleine, Ribbon, Kirby, Bandana Dee, King Dedede, several of Adeleines drawings, Zero Two and all forms of Miracle Matter except the default one into one 16:9 piece of artwork was definitely not gonna be possible. Anyway, I do really like how both of these pieces came out, I've started using different layer blending modes for shading and I'm much happier with it now. Both my shadows and my highlights look so much more vibrant now. :D
Also, at the time of writing this description, I have 711 subscribers! 16 away from the number I commonly associate myself with lol. I seriously don't get how people continue to support me through my massive gaps between uploads, thank you all so much for the support throughout the years. ^^
- Project Dream Lore Ahead -
After the battle with the Dark Matter trio, the three of them unfortunately managed to fly away into the sky... Bandana Dee was disheartened that he couldn't prevent them from escaping, but he did help his fellow Waddle Dees protect Castle Dedede from further destruction. And what good timing the battle had finished too, King Dedede had just returned from his battle with King D-Mind, and Kirby too had returned from the Mirror World. Meta Knight stayed behind to help Dark Meta Knight and Shadow Kirby tend to their wounds. The gang then met up with Adeleine for some lunch, and to inform her about what's been happening lately. Just as the gang were pondering what their next move should be, an old friend flies in on a giant crystal. Ribbon had come to Popstar in urgent need of her friends, as the Dark Clouds that once covered the skies of Ripple Star had returned! There was nothing to fear however, as Ribbon had learnt from the past and brought the Crystal in one piece! And so, the team that hunted down the Crystal Shards together oh so long ago had finally rebanded once more, and flew onwards to Dark Star. However, they would soon learn that Zero Two was not alone in this battle. One could say a Miracle had happened...
And so there's todays lore dump :) Next installment of Project Dream as shown off in the ending is once again a mystery, but I suppose it's really not that difficult to figure out who this is. xD However, that might not actually be the next video! If all goes according to plan, I may have a surprise after this video. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching. ;)

Ngl, Miracle Matter is an underrated character. Granted, it's really only shown up in one game (in terms of being a boss), and not alot is know about it, but that's why I love it so much. Your art did it justice, I'll say that.

@@andred.3687 honestly Gryll is second, the problem with her is that she doesnt have a lot of complex and in depth lore... + her theme does not hit as hard as zero two's
You put so much care, not only is the art great but the editing and animation makes it that much more enjoyable. K64 is my favorite (tied with DL3) and you sure gave it justice

Y’know with Dark Meta Knight getting the scratches on his mask, cool ass looking boots and torn wings I thought they’d design Adeleine with a little more detail, but she just looks like a smoother Kirby 64 Adeleine, haha. So a two part drawing? I’m loving this concept, and I kinda wanna see it be used with Super Star, maybe Kirby fighting Marx below with Nova floating at the top. You’ve gotten good at drawing the staple characters like Kirby and Bandanna Dee who almost look straight from an official game, am I glad to see a great classic Kirby game get love, so nostalgic for me, next to Amazing Mirror and Dream Land 3.

Dang, I would love to see you make a whole animation about Dark Matter.
I would love to be able to do proper animation, but i just don't know how, I need to learn. ^^; I can kinda do things like the Fire Miracle Matter and flowing hair but other than that I have no clue what I'm doing so I just use keyframes and effects instead xD

This video is- well I can’t put it into words how amazing it is, you’ve captured the most underrated Kirby game perfectly and made Miracle Matter somewhat of a star, I love it and keep up the brilliant work
Thank you! Miracle Matter needed more attention since we know next to nothing about him so I wanted to put extra emphasis on him and the teamwork with Zero Two. :)
When you think about the Lore behind Void and where Dark Matter/Zero come from, Miracle Matter turning into copy abilities makes way more sense.

5:12 the timing of ribbon appearing and the ripple star part of the music was perfect. Ribbon's theme plays as she and her new close friend kirby fight the evil that terrorized her people. Really sends chills down the spine.
Side note, I really wish kirby right back at you was more themed around kirby 64. Absolutely would loved to see Ribbon in it. MUCH prefer her over tiff.

Also, the Alternate Zero Two looked a lot stronger than the original one for sure, including the Alternate Miracle Matter.
Btw, I think I’m now seeing that when every wave of Dream Friends is done, Kirby and co. are going to fight one of the Three Mage Sisters, it’s just a theory to me at least for now.
Plus, maybe even after the Flamberge battle, Fractured Star Dream might appear again as well.😏

And yes, I wanted the Alternate Zero Two to be far more scary than the normal one, hence the teaser from the last Project Dream related video. One little detail I made is that when the Miracle Matter and Zero Two fuse in the later half of the video, Zero Two's Halo cycles through rainbow colours. This is a reference both to the Miracle Matter forms representing different colours, but also how Zero Two's Halo would also cycle through colours when you'd attack it in the original :D
Also, it makes me really happy to see people being on-board with my lore for this project! Especially when people realize the patterns that I make with these videos. :D Your theory may even be right too ;)

@@Jocket999 Sort of... Adeleine and Ribbon's initial reveal trailer used Bandana Dee for a cutscene, while Star Allies' menu screens use the Parasol Dee. So we really don't know which it's supposed to be, but we do know that HAL sure do like to mess with us. :P

Both use a vehicle ( The only evidence is the Star Allies Sparkler and Buddy Star.)
And in Kirby Fighters 2 there's a lot of Kirby 64 music themed So Adeleine and Ribbon coming as DLC to recreate the team isn't far-fetched. And lastly I think canonically for all the floors it could be Bandana Dee helping you all the way. Also on the Kirby JP twitter for Kirby Fighters 2 talk, Bandana Dee and Kirby are sometimes there together. Also Bandana Dee has headphones which is really adorable and cool. And not to mention they both aren't the smartest at times.And others may or may not think it's Parasol Waddle Dee but I think it's Bandana Dee.
