- ...holy shit we made it.
The road to this video being made had been nothing but bumps... and I mean that productivity-wise and my own personal life... but it's finally here, over a year after the previous installment. As I've mentioned in the community tab, various things have happened which was what led to this video being so delayed, but with the release of this... I think I have my finger on the pulse again. Everything is back in control. I hope.
Now, this video... 11 minutes??? Yeah, that's right. See, the initial problem with Rick, Kine and Coo (and even Gooey to an extent but I had a solution for him) is that they don't give me much to work with in terms of music, regarding their Morpho Knight theme. It's relatively short, and while the plan at first was to mashup the Dark Matter Swordsman theme from Kirby Quest and Robobot, it wasn't going well and I had to find a solution... which is why I want to give a MASSIVE thank you to @TnhGameRemixes for letting me use his Dark Matter remix from his Boss Raid series.
Y'know, this channel started in the first place because I had a silly idea for a video, building robots in a game called Robocraft in the likeness of Star Dream, and I wanted to use Light MetaS' and TNH's collab remix medley of Star Dream, and so I created this account. Over 6 years ago now. So I feel as though this video was a culmination/full circle type deal of how this channel came to be in the first place. So please, everyone go check out TNH's stuff, his music is utterly stellar. And Light's stuff too while you're at it. Actually, there's a whole load of people I'd like to recommend to you all but I just realised my featured channels tab has literally never changed lmao so I'm gonna do that once this goes live. :)
Anyway, regarding this piece, I'm thrilled with the result. I like the composition I made a lot, and the Dark Matter eyes surrounding the piece was actually a scrapped idea for the Gooey piece, so I'm glad it made a comeback :) And the video probably is some of my proudest work yet, I gotta be brutally honest. As I said in the Iron Valiant video, lot of new stuff I wanted to try, and yeah. Overall really happy ^^
Project Dream Lore Ahead
Once Kirby got sucked into the mysterious black hole, Gooey was scrambling trying to think of a way to get him out... but he wouldn't get the opportunity. An all too familiar silhouette descended from the sky, casting Dream Land into rain, and taking over Castle Dedede. Before Gooey could go investigate however, three old friends had come to his aid... Rick, Kine and Coo, and they brought the Rainbow Drops to form the blade that would vanquish the darkness. Gooey accepted the drops in thanks, and using their power, transformed into a Prismatic Swordsman to rival the Dark... but this Alternate Swordsman had a trick up it's cape...
Mid-battle and mask shattered, the Alternate Swordsman's sword began to glow an eerie red and became... A red crystal spear of sorts, which resembles... no... was Fractured Star Dream somehow tied to this blade? Using the blade to tear rifts in the fabric of reality and summoning two additional swordsmen was what turned the tides of the battle, and it seemed all hope was lost as our Gooey Swordsman was about to be slain... until Kirby had returned from his battle with the Alternate Marx, and stepped in to counter attack!
But the Dark Matter's before their demise, had one last plan... to resummon their leader from a previous battle and resurrect him. With enough Dark Energy, it could be accomplished. And it was. Although defeated, their summoning had worked, and Zero had returned. But he knew better than to use the same feeble form he was slain in, and so he consumed the power of the Swordsmen and the Fractured Blade, becoming a Knight so terrible, it was only known by it's title...

...what a bombshell ay? Anyway I'm running out of character space so Imma keep this short lmao next scheduled vid shall be the Goblin Invasion for Terraria, and of course next Project Dream is another mysterious- it's Zan. I think we all know the pattern by now xD

I think it would be cool if Gooey had a Blade form like Dark Matter, because he is made out of the same materials as Dark Matter.
Man this community never fails to deliver with its amazing fan concepts, I'm a massive sucker for Swordsman Gooey and Zero Knight, the former keeping his goofy face below that battle mask is a really cute detail
Yo... GOOEY SWORDSMAN???? That's so cool!! It's a little strange yet so refreshing to see Gooey acting more serious, y'know? And Rick, Kine and Coo with Rainbow forms, they look fantastic as well!
...but Zero absolutely takes the cake. Now this is something worthy of being called Zero Three.

Gooey Matter swordsman and Zero Knight showdown was amazing. This was so cool i wasnt expecting something this epic in a speed art. Awesome art by the way o love the new designs and how you portrayed some legacy kirby characters. This was perfect. Definitely going to rewatch this multiple times. Love how the music is synced with whats happening!

Edit: by the way, how many pieces are there left? I know Zan is an automatic one, but then what will happen afterwards? Will the original Dreamland 4 have their own unique pieces? Will be all become fused into one to represent return to dreamland deluxe? Or will it automatically be onto the final showdown with Fractured Star Dream?

Just kind of stumbled onto these, I love the art and the story you're trying to tell with these.
This one in particular is kind of giving me a headcanon that Dark Matter has an immense hatred for Gooey (and referring to him as "The Traitorous One")
perhaps even expressing glee at the notion of finishing Gooey off himself before Kirby intervenes. And speaking of, I love how you did the Thumbnail for it, keeping it vague on purpose so you'd assume that's just Dark Matter in the middle. I've never seen Gooey look so serious before, it's throwing me off.

I love everything about it.
The powerups for the animal Friends (wonder how it would've looked for Nago, Chu and Pitch), Gooey as a Dark Matter Swordsman, the new powers of Dark Matter and their use of versions of themselves across time and space, the return of Zero and its form (I wanna call it Zero Knight) and the little story in general. You've earned yourself a sub.

Ok, so first things first, how come it took me until now to find your videos when we've known eachother for a while.
Secondly: JESUS!!!
I never would have imagined something as ambitious as a speed paint with a story could be possible. And then I find THIS.
Not only was it just really cool and eye openings to see how you make your art, how excellent the lightning is (seriously, Dark Matter's armor genuinely looked like a physical 3D object) and how precise the line art is
But adding a narrative to your artwork and then ANIMATING IT in the same vid, AND IT ACTUALLY WORKS.
The retelling of DL2 but taking to anime levels of a corney, bombastic world ending battle where everyone gets uuper powerful rainbow wepons, armour and so on... Peak Fiction, 50/10.
The designs for the scrunkly Gooey Swordsman and ESPECIALLY the Zero Knight... like how does one come up with that last one and make it genuinely cool?! THE BLOOD. FEATHER THING ON IT'S HELMET MOOVED SMOOTHER THAN THE LINE ART, HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD!?
