She had so many hits especially in the 60's-70's including "I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)", "Respect", "I Say A Little Prayer", "Chain Of Fools", "Think" etc.

Everything that can be said (about both of these iconic women) has been said but i rarely hear anything said about what a fabulous pianist Aretha is. She doesn't get enough credit for that and she really should. Thanks for that, Sarah. That lifted my spirit today ❤

This is an epic performance! My roommate and me were watching this show as it aired from our two bedrooms just freaking out and when she dropped that coat both of us screamed YAAASSS QUEEN! It was a MOMENT.

(The blonde in the balcony) This Chokes me up every time watching Carol King's reaction. Carol was stopped on the street and asked to write a Woman song and she did with her writing partner that night. Carol wrote many hits for others and later started to do her own songs. There is a live version of Jazzman that is high energy and better then all of the others. look for the video with a sax player wearing a blue shirt. She was dying here, very weak, covered in chemo pads, copious amounts of morphine, teeth falling out - yet she could still give masterclass like no other. The greatest singer of all time.
