If you also speak spanish I think one way you could think of it would be like saying ‘aprovechando que estoy haciendo esto también hago esto’ which I know basically means taking advantage but it sounds more natural/less negative in Spanish i think? Just putting it out there in case it helps somebody😊
Native speaker here. Yup! It's perfect, although it would sound a bit more natural if you say "ya que.. ." instead of "aprovechando que ...". For example, let's take one of the sentences 빌리 선생님 used: • 문법에 대해서 얘기하는 김에 억양에 대해서도 얘기해 볼까요? • Ya que estamos hablando sobre la gramática, ¿por qué no hablamos sobre la entonación también? • Aprovechando que estamos hablando sobre la gramática, ¿por qué no hablamos sobre la entonación también? • Dada las circunstancias de que estamos hablando sobre la gramática, ¿por qué no hablamos sobre la entonación también? (This one is way more formal but it fits perfectly within this context) I'd say all three of them are interchangeable but the first one is the most natural way of expressing it. We'd never say "mientras" (while) in this context because it would sound more like performing both actions at the same time [like ~(으)면서]. Hope this helped you, greetings!

If I were to say 날씨가 맑은 김에 I should use -으니까 or 어서 ?
This is used with action verbs, so you could instead use either of those options. I have live streams and lessons about both of those forms :-)
