They are all great Karen! I have the same cale stand. Get yourself a round silicone mat, they are only a few dollars on amazon. It helps hold the canvas on the cake stand and then the paint peels off easily after its dry. No mess!
I have the same spinner and have found that plastic shower caps fit exactly on top to keep it free of paint splashes. Now enjoy! Love from Ireland.♥️💕☘️
I watched a Tammy Anderson video w/the canvas in a portable dog bath/pool. I was like -- what the H.......I giggled and made ref to this video and LOVE it. This one looks nice and heavy/sturdy . Thanks again so very much!
I haven't done blooms yet. I find this fascinating. Thank you for sharing your wonderful art and teaching us, exploring how to do this. The spinning is fun. We used to do spin art as kids, this is fascinatingly more spontaneous and sophisticated. BLESSINGS and loves. 👩🎨🎨🖌🍀💖🦓🤹♀️🇺🇸🙏
Karen, you did a piece using erathtones. I think it was brown, gold, sap green and some Black. I was so motivated because these are some favorites and I haven't even painted with them. I got such a beautiful fesult. I said if there ever would be a piece of granite that was like that , I would big it. I will try to remember to take a pic and show you!
These are beautiful Karen! Love Christina's paints! They are so creamy & very beautiful! You are such a delightful woman. Very heart warming & sincere & FUN! 😊 I really enjoy watching you do your STUNNING ART! Thank you for all your great recipes & the time you take to share it all with us! 😚😍🐇💗
I almost spun a canvas off of my table, so I cut a circle out of a suction cup bottomed shower slip proof mat & use that. It works, even with just push pins in the canvas. What a great surprise! Christina & Allen Welch’s Monday night lives are great. I’m not a big bloom fan myself, but if want great instructions/cool color combos, Christina uncomplicates it amazingly & like Karen’s, they’re gorgeous.
The colors and your symmetry are great. Spinning is about the only way that I can get a decent looking bloom. Afraid that I still 'suck at blowing' after 4 months! loved the video and your energy! Yes, I took Shelee's Course and even have AU Fleotrol
Debra Wichmann Debra I thought the same but didn’t want to mention it and everyone think I was insane . But yes it does it looks like a beautiful butterfly!!! 🥰👍👍👍
Happy #200! Christina's colors are beautiful. I'm totally in love with Nate's. What a great experiment - thanks for taking us along for the ride. I can't wait to see what you'll be learning as you experiplay (OK, I made that word up, but it sounds to me like what you do). Excited, too, about the collaboration and live pour.

Karen, this technique is so fun! And you seem to master it very nicely. Awesome work! 🥰🌹🎨 I just discovered that my lazy Susan is a dream come true doing blooms this way! 👍
Hi Karen, I have the exact cake spinner, I love it. I have my in a plastic container, to me it is a lot better than the box. It does a nice job on the blooms your doing. You didn't have it level, by the time you got the paint on, some was coming off the backside. They are beautiful

I have a suggestion I would love to see if it would come out in real life like it does in my head. So can you do a black/grey base then mix like bright neon colors in a cup like layer them, then hold the cup higher off the canvas and literally let the colors splash onto the canvas in different areas? After you get the color on hit it with the flame to create cells/bubbles then stretch it?
Just curios what would happen if you spun one way and then reversed and spun the other...maybe no difference? I do sometimes wish you would keep the ones you pour over! Or maybe just take a photo of them before they disappear forever!

Did you notice that the paint in the box is white. Hardly any color that I can see on camera. Could it be throwing out the base paint? That was lots of fun!
They are amazing as usual! Never a disappointment. Going to have to look into Christina's paints oh, the colors look gorgeous. Erica from Erica art has been spinning Bloom's for quite a while now. Check her out
@@WaterfallAcrylics oh heck I saw her about a month ago I think but I'm at that forget why I walked in the room stage of my life. It's not Erica Hughes it's just plain Erika art. I forget what country she's from. I forget a lot...
Shelee used a spinner when she started this technique you can see it in her earliest video's. She used a van but complained it was dangerous and stopped using it. A few months ago I found a great video on youtube how to transform a van into a spinning machine and made one myself. It works great and with an extension cord with an on/off switch its not dangerous at all. For smaller pieces what you are using is better. They look very pretty!
Waterfall Acrylics So are you saying pour medium recipe has varnish can it be polycrylic I’ve been doing pours on my own for several years and I use the varnish after they have cured but youre saying use it in the paint that you are using for a swipe maybe
That is a great question!!! I don’t have a good answer…I think it probably has to do with my frustration level maybe? Sometimes I just want a clean slate I suppose!
Thanks for the feedback--I don’t know what you mean by dead time? The chatting? Layering? Spinning? Do you only want to see results and not the process?
@@WaterfallAcrylics No, just the opposite actually. I enjoy and learn from the process which is why I watch the video. Dead time means time that you are out of the frame (looking for things, etc.). I'm just giving what is intended to be constructive criticism which is what I request when I post a photo of my work.
Wow awesomeness. Love them all. The colors are so beautiful. Much love. Stay safe

So are you putting in the varnish with your paint
Varnish and untinted house paint make up the pouring medium recipe. Then you add paint to that.
Waterfall Acrylics
So are you saying pour medium recipe has varnish can it be polycrylic
I’ve been doing pours on my own for several years and I use the varnish after they have cured but youre saying use it in the paint that you are using for a swipe maybe
You are so sweet, your pours are lovely
Why do you sometimes scrape off for a redo and other times you go over it?
That is a great question!!! I don’t have a good answer…I think it probably has to do with my frustration level maybe? Sometimes I just want a clean slate I suppose!
Do u use the same Pm and CA as Shelee? If not, where do we find your recipe?
They’re in every video and come up on the screen-usually during the first 10 minutes.
I like to use tin foil on my lazy suzanne😊
Can you give me the website to order her paint please
I don’t know as she gifted it to me.
Love the colors and results .... but it's hard not to change the channel because of so much dead time.
Thanks for the feedback--I don’t know what you mean by dead time? The chatting? Layering? Spinning? Do you only want to see results and not the process?

No, just the opposite actually. I enjoy and learn from the process which is why I watch the video. Dead time means time that you are out of the frame (looking for things, etc.). I'm just giving what is intended to be constructive criticism which is what I request when I post a photo of my work.
Great feedback thanks! I’ll be sure to have everything at my disposal!
Where are you getting the Rounds?
In my Amazon shop under substrates. Link is in the description section.
@@WaterfallAcrylics thank you so much Karen👍🏼👵🏻🥰
When plastic that came with cake spinner goes , Try a shower cap, easy fit and disposable.
I think its Erica art who does alot of blooms, but I love the colours
There you are....I miss you. I don't see any posts! Maybe I am being goofy, I don't know. That older pour is very nice
