I've always wondered how Dara scores the comedians
Dara mentioned once, it might've been edited out and thus showed up in a Too Hot For TV clip, the points don't matter; the show was invented by the same guy who came up with Whose Line Is It Anyway and QI; QI's scoring system is labyrinthine and WLIIA notoriously uses nonsensical scoring
He said in an episode (it might have been cut from the final broadcast) before the stand-up round:
"The winner is the team I judge to produce the funniest stuff. Not really, I just pick the winners at random. Please stop writing in to us."

Mock the week - the only TV series with a worse scoring system than QI because Dara seems to give the point to which ever fucking side he likes....
it was set up that way by the guy who invented the show, he has a thing for improv comedy and not so much a thing for properly scored game shows; if you don't like the way the scores went, take heart in the fact that they don't matter and are purely arbitrary
