I always looked at this fight as Vegeta being able to push his SSJ2 state to the level of SSJ3 like what Future Trunks did in the DBS manga.

@JXx Like I said the only way this makes sense is if Goku just stops training, which he would never do or if they retcon SSJ 3 being a 400 Times his base. Because if GOku is stronger than or equal to Trunks and Vegeta in his his base SSJ 3 is still a 400 times power up vs the 100 times power up of SSJ2. There is no way they trains smarter or harder than Goku. They need to explain how the fck is it a tie if Goku continues to train in his base and SSJ3 is still a 400 times multiplier? the math ain't mathing.
Unless Vegetas little what ever boost he got is a 300 times multiplier added to SSJ2 100 times multiplier

I dont think he mainly pushed tje transformation to ssj3 levels, but his pushed his overall power level to that point. Its like the sjper sayain transformations multiply their power exponentially, but isnt their main source of strength.
I don’t think Super Saiyan 3 is trash. Vegeta manages to push his Super Saiyan 2 being up to par Super Saiyan 3. It kinda like in Battle of Gods.
I don't care how much he pushes the SSJ 2, the only way this make sense is if Goku stopped training which he would never do and there is no 400 times multiplier

My thing with this whole SSJ 2 being just as strong as SSJ 3 is I could understand if Goku just stopped training. But Goku continues to train, and SSJ 3 is supposed to be a 400 times multiplier. There is no way SSJ 2 should be even close to SSJ3. Unless they retcon the Multiplier and Goku just stopped training.
@@aninymouse1651 The math is not mathing. They shouldn't have made these multiplier if they were just going to throw them away. Or just give Vegeta SSJ3
It's not 400x stronger than ssj2. 4x maybe, but that's for the person transforming. Either way, ssj3 is just an inefficient power boost that looks cool and the fanbase has a deep attachment to it when the characters and creators don't. It is what it is.
Toriyama and the writers of the show/game don't acknowledge the multipliers agreed upon by the fanbase much at all to my knowledge.
The main issue with ssj3 as well as ssb is the stamina drain.
This is shown especially in the manga as before mastered ssb they would need to switch to ssg and on the last second to blue to fight efficient and that is on god ki.
Just look at ssbkk when its first introduced it rekt goku's body beyond any point.
He didnt use kaiokan in the future trunks saga as he did not know the effects at that time.
Only after mastering ssb could he use kaiokan without fear of draw backs.
They should have just giving Vegeta SSJ 3
What is up with Toei and Goku vs Vegeta. So when Goku is clearly stronger than Vegeta they tie, but if they are even of if Vegeat is stronger Goku Loses. Why does Goku have to lose all the time? I know Toriyama started this to subvert fans expectations but at this point it is getting old. AT once said that if fans think GOku is going to win he purposely makes him lose, this is why the only victory GOku has in DBZ is against Frieza. Now I think its time for Goku to start getting some wins
SSJ3 IMO got 3 times to shine:
1 stalling fat Buu
2 vs Fat Janemba
3 vs Hildegarn
Then it immediately gets overshadowed by everything else
GT pulled that kid body can't sustain SSJ3 crap but then there's the previous anomaly of SSJ3 Gotenks who definitely could
If anything it's neglected/overshadowed by introduction of new forms that pushed it out of relevancy

My head canon is that while ssj3 is more powerful it has too many drawbacks for a mortal body.
I can get with that. We only really see dead Goku use it (which during the early buu arc it drained his time on earth) The 2 instances in afterlife during movies he uses it with no real drawbacks. The only other to use it is Gotenks and that falls under the abilities of fusions to far surpass either of the lesser parts. Even with the fusion though, it shortened the time limit substantially.
The entirety of super is litch a retcon of end of Z, when super ends it’s gonna have its own version of end of Z
I agree, it's a weird battle cuz we all know that Goku is so much more powerful than when he fought Boo and suddenly Vegeta able to close the gap with his sjj2... Makes no sense...
I dont think it's trash, but ssg and ssb made it useless. I think had goku mastered it like he did ss, it would be an incredible transformation. I do love the design, but currently in dbs, its pretty much unnecessary.
It had to be Vegeta bloodline because it makes sense because when he was a child, he was the strongest in Planet Vegeta.
Meanwhile in Heroes: SS Grade 4? NAH. SS Full Power is like that, but better, isn’t that right SS3 Full Power Cumber?

This DLC fight is basically SSJ3 vs grade 4 SSJ2 or mastered SSJ2
Basically this is a fight between burst damage which is SSJ3 and consistent damage which is vegeta's mastered SSJ2.
TL;DR goku can hits for 2M in a spam of 3 seconds and thats it whilst vegeta can do 4M damage but in 5 minutes.

People still think that EOZ and Super are compatible?
As simply as it can be stated, EOZ was written before Super existed, Super takes place in a time gap where nothing is supposed to happen
There is NO WAY for Super to coexist as cannon alongside EOZ with the only exception being if they pull some memory and experience wipe so no one remembers anything from Super and they have none of the abilities from Super (why would Goku be excited for a Kid Buu level guy if Kid Buu is fodder to him)
So of course they don't use Super thing's in this, it's not cannon, it cannot coexist
This is wrong because Uub is shown in the moro saga (plus kid buu/uub being confirmed to have dormant god ki rivaling moro) and other stories have prequels that fit in canon aka Star Wars
just because you feel like it can't doesn't make it uncanon
Also this logic is off because this DLC came out after both and it uses both canons to justify its own unique take on the story retelling anyway

It is not trash I can tell you that now as realistically for all the fights it was in Super Saiyan 3 is always said to be able to finish opponents off but he doesn’t I honestly leave that to Goku’s personality I know it’s weird to say it but I believe as he was massively focusing on that next generation stuff bu the time he got to show it of next buutenks he got beat, the kid buu fight showed it off well tho.
Seemed to me like Vegeta just trained enough to close the gap 🤷♂️

Whis: Work on your base forms instead to get the instinct that is very ultra. Oh, but I guess transforming for now is cool too, even though they're a mere powerup.
Beerus: yep... a mere power up that doesn't contradict all your past efforts at all.
Toei: to make sure the audience never forgets, cabba's gotta job to ss even though their base forms are the same.

I love and hate this form. It undeniably is kinda trash but man, when he starts screaming and the hair starts growing, it gets me hyped because he rarely uses it
Why not consider that Vegeta has a stronger base form to allow him to fight SSJ3 as a SSJ2?
SSJ forms are not and have never been a set power.

In DB, power is based on their ki not their raw physical.

I didn’t even consider ki and the end of the fight. You might have a point.
There are a lot of examples of how having low to no ki allows fighters to fall into a lower range of power where even weaker foes can prove threatening.
Although this Idea implies that Goku’s ssj3 is less or equally as taxiing on his ki as Vegeta’s ssj2, which is wonky.
Neat perspective, not definitive, but one I do feel like should be considered 👍
@@bigpapan.g3245 you can headcanon that but the scene where vegeta goes into his special ssj2 is to be taken as power up that matches SSJ3 not that vegeta's base is so impressive that his ssj2 matches ssj3

There is no _one-way only_ way to consider the scene.
It can simply be argued that Vegeta unleashing his true power was simply just an astounding powerup, rather than a new 'grade' of SSJ2.
I am *Not* saying you're wrong, but I do believe there are various ways to perceive the scene. Context *can be* subjective.

My theory is there is grade to ssj3 like ssj goku need to master stamina loss which he never did ssj3 was supposed to be saiyan true potential harness the ozaru power in human body for better power and vegeta done off screen ssj2 limit breaker training 😂
