- Can you open pad locks with explosives like they do in the movies? Is it easier and faster than lock picking? We are going to find out with our explosive expert Pommi Henkka from Pommijätkät RUclips channel / pommijätkät Don't try this at home!

We are going to explode more stuff on next week so if you have any ideas what we should test with explosives please let us know :D
@@soundspark I haven't seen that one before but seems bit more well planned than this :D
Finish definitife non-destructive-entry! Very Finnish! Very definite! And almost ZERO-destruction!
Request, please - try some explosive welding using det-cord, make some art!
chinesium 0, explosives 2
Try to write something or make a picture on a steel plate by shaping explosives!
I'd be keen to see an experiment on how tamping changes the destructive power of explosives. Either that or 50kg dynamite under a giant pile of anvils.
Meanwhile, LockPickingLawyer is opening locks with FORK and SPOON
No, he is going to use a plastic spork.
But this method opens the lock, and the lock picking lawyer.
He's opened more than a few in ways similar to this in the past also.
WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!!!
...to open this padlock, I'm gonna use a standard dynamite in eighteen thousandths.
Boom out of four, three is burning, nice explosion out of two, complete annihilation on one - and we got it open.
Nothing on 1.
A click on 2.
Explosion on 3.
Lock Crushing Finn
This is a bomb Bosnian Bill and I made awhile back in video 478.
LPL FTW
Turns out they're all in fact combination locks, and the combination is 3-2-1.
Got a good laugh out of me on that one.
The combination is C-4.
@@5roundsrapid263 all combinations are c-4.
Haha good one made me chuckle
Came for the LPL comments...was not disappoint
Hello everybody, this is the lockpicking Fin, and today we're going to open a lock the Finish way, with explosives. We're going to use the special dynamite that Sons of Xplosions and I made. Okay, a little explosion on one... three is binding... click out on four, feeling some nice destruction there...
Isn't his wife the person, who does the destructional picking/opening?
Nice tribute to LPL. He opened one with explosives too but not quite as dramatically.
😂
Thank you so much for very good laughter and following chuckles.
Did anyone else read this in their head with the LockpickinLawyer's voice?
LockpickingLawyer: "I'm still faster"
Uncle Jeezy When you include preparation time for the explosives, yeah.
He unlocks them with just a stare!
"Using this det cord that bosnian bill and I made." :))
Who cares. Lawyers are the ones who should be locked up.
@@QuadMochaMatti Who hurt you?
This is The Seven Fingered Lock Picking Lawyer, and what I have for you today is a solar igniter, a battery, and a few ounces of a plyable explosive compound. And I'm going to demonstrate a major flaw in most lock designs.
Are you related to sir dick?
A solar igniter won't detonate a high explosive. Just saying. High explosives require a detonator that contains a less stable high explosive that explodes with a shockwave that causes the primary explosive to detonate.
Major Flaw was a damn fine soldier...
Chinesium
#aVe
That det-cord just didn't chooch skookum enough to bust up the Chinesium lock...
I once had a lock that was made out of pure chinesium. If you pulled on the lock body hard enough, even without the combination (it was on a high school gym locker), it would open. I told my gym teacher about it and he said, "yeah, most of these locks are like that. They're so old they don't really lock anymore. But, we have them so we can say your stuff is secure for insurance purposes."
I like that word. I need to use the word Chinesium from now on.
@@rancidpitts8243 And I like your username. Sounds like a lot of people around here during the summer. It gets BAD...
My favorite words: kolme, kaksi, yksi... [insert loudness here]
I was hopping for a LockpickingLawyer collaboration. Maybe some other time 😉
Yes, that would be cool. Unfortunately they live very far apart :-(
But he could bring his most difficult locks and they would try to open them
nah they needed Florida man
@@condorcircus323 You mean like "Florida Man blows up apartement complex while trying to open padlock"? xD
They're a long way from Maryland.
:-D absolutely!
"Small click on one, we drop into a fault set, decent explosion on two, pulverized lock on three..."
False set*
@@PaulGSXR Oh really? Thanks for the correction. You learn something every day!
The new camera looks great! was the shot at 7:18 the chronos too? You could see the shockwave reflect off the table, very cool.
I love how a 4.7 million subscribers channel that’s also verified gets 3 likes and gets ignored
I love you man but I can’t help but find it so damn funny 😄
Yeah but he won't see our responses anyway because he gets 100's daily
@@pika6238 yeah true lol
@@pika6238 hi Pika gaming
@@footingball5566 Hi
Whatever you do, Don't tell LockPickingLawyer, he might get ideas :P
He is faster
He doesn't need explosive, looking at some of his latest videos, just a harsh word from him and locks open.
OK, let's use the high explosive "lockpick" that BosnianBIll and I made...
He already did open a lock with fireworks explosive for a 4th of July video.
@JS 09 Actually, at least 1.35 million people do know about LPL. With all due respect, more than twice as many that know about this channel.
local blasting guys company slogan is: we dont stand behind our work, we stand behind a tree
"This is not steel. No, it is Chineesium" 😂
"Honey I heard an explosion outside!"
"Don't worry, BTP forgot their keys to the shed."
The Lockpicking Lawyer would have picked the padlocks and every lock within a mile in the time it took you to set this up.
what you lack in skill you make up in brute force
"That is all for today" vs "That's all I have for you today"
I enjoy your channel because unlike other channels that spend 10 minutes explaining what they are going to do and how they are going to do it, your channel gets right to the point. A short explanation that makes sense to a common person and then right down to the task at hand. Keep up the great work
Wow, I want to see the Christmas Tree that Anni decorates.
But just wouldn't wanna be under it.
That tree would be a bomb!
Lauri: "I think that is more than Hollywood would use." .... Michael Bay: "Hold my beer."
Anni's attempt to blow the whole thing reminded me of:
"you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" as Michael Caine said in 60s Italian job.
In Finland, they use a ratchet wrench as a hammer. _Just as they do in the USA!_
After all every tool has a hammer side.😁
take a junk engine, pull the heads off, fill the cylinder with the piston at the lowest point with dynamite, run a blasting cap wire through an exhaust valve, bolt the head(s) back on, press a button and cut the block in half.
Don’t try this at home? Great, now what am I supposed to do with all that dynamite I have laying around?😂
I have some ideas, but I don't want the FBI to know.
@@chaos_omega What if I told you the FBI wants to know for "training purposes"
Don't try this at home do it at a friend's house.
Same here...just burn all dynamite:)
You can tell by how hard Henry laughed at "Chinesium", that he doesn't watch AvE. 🤣
Ah.. the old play-dough master key trick.
I have to say i love the editing on this video, the flow keeps going. Lauri you're funny dude with your spot on remarks.
The shockwave from the explosive was so coo! 😃😄
"More is more"
Well said, my friend
My late dad was in the Army and told me stories about how much fun det cord and C4 were. He’d love this video!
The analysis part is so great.
really like the synergy with Henri and you guys!
Try wrapping the detcord vertically around the lock body .
New camera is awsome!! Keep up the good work🤘
Awesome, I like getting a bang out of lock picking. Fun stuff.
We bigfoots open pad locks by just throwing a large boulder at them
Fake
Awesome video!
It would be great to see all types of locks tested with the type and amount of explosives recorded to compare!
The C4 explosions really made my subwoofer kick... *DEEP BASS*
See title, "Opening Pad Locks with High Explosives" and think: What a great new skill to learn.
See disclaimer and think: Oh POOH!
This is important work.
4:40 I love this can do attitude :^D
You should try an American lock! It should open BEFORE you get done wrapping the cord around it, no need for explosions.
An American lock like MasterLock??? ;-) ;-) ;-)
That high speed cord looks amazing.
Looks like extra spicy maksamakkara.
The pink one they used before looks exactly like Doktorskaya kolbasa!
Interesting mainly because I was an engineer in the American Army during the Vietnam war and we used det cord on a regular basis mainly to clear jungle areas to creat helicopter landing zones. If I remember correctly it took half a dozen tight wraps around a twelve inch diameter tree to knock the tree down. We often created what we called a “daisy chain” by interlinking several trees with det cord and blowing them all at once to expedite the process. Speed was paramount as we were usually in very hot combat areas and needed the LZ post haste!
That last lock was just vaporized XD
Wow! That Chronos 2.1 makes for an AMAZING viewing experience 👌👌👌And the sound !!! 💯
love your acenct and love your mood, very cool. Well done!
As we like to say in English"No, you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off".😁. I like to see stuff being blown up!
Where’s the fun in only blowing the doors off. Just blow the whole thing up. Much more fun
loving both channels
Now I know what to do if I lock the keys in the car. 😁. Seriously, I love the fiery slo-mo explosions. They are actually very cathartic! 💥💥💥👍
I love your videos of blowing things up. Keep up the good work.
LPL: "I'm gonna use the pick Bosnian Bill and I made"
Lauri: "Hold my explosives"
Awesome stuff!
That detcord explosion sound is pretty impressive.
man your videos are the best
The difference between picking and explosives is NOT the amount of sound, it´s the enormous amount of FUN !!! 🤣
Anni: "I want to open it all!"
hehe 😄
Welcome to the new world of lock picking! Nicely done folks!
Nicely done. I think you just made several lists. Good fun.
Fun fact, detonation cord doesn’t “explode”, it just burns really fast, like one or two miles a second. But that is basically what an “explosive” does, burns almost all at once.
That was bad ass! Thx Gang!
This is quality content!
The ancestors of the people behind whatever door will know you’re coming after that lol
Moi.
Pretty good.
Thanks 👍
STOP DON'T TOUCH ME THERE, THIS IS MY NONO SQUARE
Pure awesomeness. Great videos. Love from 🇺🇸
"This is the Lockpicking Lawyer and what I have for you today is some advanced lock picking techniques."
The dude setting up the explosives, must have a cool job.
Henri is a special effects professional.
He really needs a haircut though
If you wrap a wet piece of paper towel around the explosive it will contain the energy 10x more and break the lock. We used to plug the holes at the mine with wet paper towels.
The two explosions perfectly illustrated the difference between PETN and AN-based explosives. The former has a very high detonation temperature. The latter quite low - not even incandescent. The latter also has better fume properties, which is one reason it's so popular in mining. Low cost and relative insensitivity are two other reasons.
Laurie: Welcome to lockpicking channel
Bosnianbill: Am i a joke to you?
*Lockpicking Lawyer has entered chat
Lpl: finally a worthy challenger! Our battle will be legendary!
Getting more bang for your buck, with Beyond the Press.
The chain and lock, looks like bling for LPL or Bosnian Bill, the quieter type of lockpickers.
If only slightly quieter. Remember their tour to the rifle range where they lit up a Ankers (I think, not sure, working from a failing memory) padlock with their guns? Might not have been quite as loud, but they put a lot of rounds into that lock so it was more like rolling thunder...
"Hello, this is the Beyond the Press Channel, and what I have for you today is... MAYHEM!"
People should start making "meanwhile in Finland" compilations
That looked fun!!!
You open these locks even faster than The Lockpicking Lawyer :-)
"Don't try this at home" Yeah, it's like I have C4 around and was planning to remove the lock of my neighbours bicycle!
Wait a second. You can't do that.
That's crazy!
You will destroy the bike. Take a pick set instead.
@@CyberlightFG People over here use angle grinders for that job.
And if the locks are too strong, they just remove the road sign (since that's soft iron compared to hardened steel).
LockPickingLawyer: I'm getting a click out of 2, 3 is set, it feels like a false gate in number 4.
Beyond The Press: Kolme, Kaksi, Yksi, BOOM
New flavor . That’s so Lauri. Love it
This should make the lock picking lawyer happy.
Very stealthy method!
Even from two feet away, it's almost guaranteed that you won't hear it being picked. :)
The beauty of this method is that even when they begin investigations there will be no evidence left that the lock was tampered with.
A small shaped charge would be interesting
I freaked so much when I saw the hammer flying.
Normally in the UK, when I see truss like that in the forest there are large sound systems either side and the bangs are more rhythmic
Very cool Lauri/Annie...BOOOOM!!.💥
The sound of the chain at 7:05 and the shock wave at 7:20 are cool. Thanx.
With that first lock you probably could've stuck a screwdriver in the hole and turned the locking mechanism open.
Love the video
Nice Explodies... Pretty Good! :-D
I want your permission to use the word "Chinesium". It describes so many things in the world today.
Watch some aVe videos, he may have a patent/ trademark, on that word.
I think you should be nominated for the Ig Nobel Prize- for research that is entertaining but makes you think. Oh yes, this is also further confirmation that every tool has a hammer side.
Video: Don’t try this at home!
Me: Aww I wanted to use my many explosives to open locks
These guys are awesome
The most force is applied parallel to the cord. That said you should have wrapped top to bottom or around the shackle.
Det cord propagates at 24,000 ft per second. That's a pretty high detonation velocity. Pentolite is what's used in most that stuff and it's used because of its V.O.D. We mainly use anfo and semi gelatin dynamite. The anfo can range from 10,000fps up to 18,000fps depending on confinement and the diameter of the column.
Some times we use emulsion and it has a detonation velocity slightly lower than det cord, but higher than the anfo. Getting into working with explosives was one of my favorite career changes.
Y'all should do another video like this testing different locks
The lock picking lawyer has met his match
“ Let’s use a small hand grenade”. Lol. I’ve never heard that phrase before. That’s like “hand me that piano. “
Finland looks fun. Must try and get my next contract out there.
