thanks for this, ever found out what that small black knob+screw is for? you state you are not sure when you pick it up in the video, I don't either haha
Just received my pedal and classic hardware but I finally figured it out. It was driving me nuts, but I noticed my Ludwig classic hi hat stand came with it too, and so I compared both my kick pedal and hi hat stand and realized that the keystone badge is the slot for the optional knobs. Those knobs prevents the feet from sliding into the chain.

Long story short, the knobs go into the Ludwig keystone badge slot on the footboard to prevent foot slippage.
So when you move the cam to adjust the angle, is it independent of the beater angle ?
Yeap, they adjust independently.
