@Philip Tucker Matt has a youtube channel called Hat Trax where he has a lot of bass covers. I think he's a PhD in computer science now. I found him around 2012 or so. Man does he shred it on bass. Real raw talent.
Thanks! Yeah, we ended up splitting out the piano (although there's also a typical stereo part under it as well) into left and right hands. It makes it a bit easier to get some stereo width without wider instrumentation.

With the FFVII remake just about 45 days away, I can't help but think Square should highlight fan remakes/remixes, and this should be on that list!
Being a pianist, a bassist, and a drummer I can't help but be very impressed by all of your performances. The composition of the violin was fantastic. Somehow I find that I was most impressed by the bass. Thank you for doing this!

I really want to try to finish FF VII again. This is an amazing cover of J-E-N-O-V-A and Birth of a God. J-E-N-O-V-A is one of my favorite Final Fantasy songs ever and it is nice to hear a version that is this awesome. This is my first time hearing Birth of a God and my first impressions of it is pretty damn good.

This gets a solid 9.5/10. The only thing that detracts is the tone of the bass. It made everything sound like funky jazz. It lightened the tone up a bit too much. That bass needs some crunch! But really, it's not some fatal flaw or anything--this may be one of my favorite renditions.
Forget Nobuo Uematsu, Enix should be hiring you guys for the musical score of the FF7 remake. At least for the final boss soundtracks... this seriously gave me goosebumps.
I love your interpretation of this, and you are very talented. My only advice would be to add in the discord a little. Some people are so afraid to use discord in music, but in this song, the discord gives it that spooky element.
