Hey Everybody! Welcome in!
Picking 6,3&9....& I want that 66 Plymouth!
That is a nice one!
As always a great show,thank you Solon.😊
I appreciate that!
Great night as always Solon. Be safe traveling. 👍😎✌️
Thanks Brother!
Come on Solen, let's be gettin' that bad boy up and runnin'!👍🤟
I once heard Craig Jackson of Barrett-Jackson fame talk about vehicle value when it came to customized vehicles. When asked he said that what one person thinks is beautiful and expensive, maybe junk to the next. He went on to say that valuing a vehicle you need to take what you have invested into “your” pet project, and throw it out the window, because you built that vehicle to make yourself happy and not the next person. You may have one hundred thousand dollars invested but the vehicle may only return a quarter of that. That’s the way I feel about some of the cars and trucks in today’s video. Especially the 1951 Dodge custom truck. It might have been worth half the asking price if he hadn’t butchered it up with his idea of a custom.
Nice bunch this evening! Appreciate you and the work you put into it
Thanks Joe! As I have said before, I appreciate you being a long-time viewer!
Great job Solon. Yes, your favorite rat rod was my favorite also
The 1930 Plymouth is awesome. I wish they would have spent a little more and put a Mopar engine in it. Big Daddy Don Garlits, Mongoose and Snake proved you can have a very fast and rad looking Mopar motor.
I agree with that Paul! Is the Big Daddy Don Garlits Museum still in Florida?
@@Americanrodshop Yes it is. I have seen RUclips videos about it but have yet to visit, I'll swing by and pick you up on my way down someday! 😁
The "it came from the internet" is really cool.
Yes! One of my favorite segments!!
Wait till you see the one coming up in the next video! Wow!
@@Americanrodshop WooHoo!!! Can't wait.
#1 Merc is my favorite, thanks Solon!
I appreciate you Mr. Higginbotham!
Love the Willys, project '56 Chevy, the Sandpiper pickup, and the Volvo gasser. Great night Solon!
My fishing bros made me late. But, fresh Blue Gills out of clear Northern MI. lakes... well, that be some fine fixins.
'72 VW buggy pickup, so ugly it's cute.
'54 Ford, really ugly cool!
Fun line up tonight Solon, Slainte!
I'm jealous of all that fishing Tully! LOL!
#6 looks like something Herman Munster would be driving
Yes it does! LOL!
Hi Solon. Liked the 50 Merc, but loved the 33 Willys. Good show.
Thanks Dave! You always give great picks!
The Dodge Fury was probably the best priced, but N.E. Cars need to be eyeballed before buying, rust is a bear!!
Good insight Gary appreciate that!
Also that Austin van would make an excellent project. I never knew a van had sliding front doors. The Fury is wayyy cool except the wheels. I wouldn't change anything else
I like the plymouth fury love it looks mean and fast
That one was fixed up nice! Great pick!
That Volvo gasser is pretty cool 😎
#1 really is a good one to have and I like it alot solan you really do know what you are doing and keep up the amazing videos love them all dude 😎👍
Thanks, Brother, I appreciate that!
Very cool episode!!! Hard to pick any one favorite, with the exception of the 51 Dodge abomination. Just my opinion. Definitely favor the 27 Ford Rat Rod and the 41 Chevy on the Corvette chassis.
Great video Solon keep them coming
Thanks again for another very interesting video. I like the Plymouth Fury best out of these cars.
My favorite for the money, is the 66 fury, nice car 😊
Sport Fury worth the money. Love Mopar!
I'd really love to own that 56 Chevy hard top. My very first car when I was in high school was a 56 Chevy 210 model sedan. Sadly I had to sell that car and I'd love to get another one.
My cousins’s neighbor raced a 1956 Chevy stock car on an oval short track back in 1975 and he would park it in his driveway and I just sit there and stare at that body style on the car and that’s when I fell in love with those 56 models myself!
@@Americanrodshop I've been fortunate enough to have owned all 3 Tri 5 Chevy's since the 70's. They have always been my favorites.
Good God those old Plymouths could run. Drove several as police cars. Back t by en the problem was the brakes faded alot
My friends Dad had one years ago and he was always getting the brakes worked on it!
The Fury is a Nice car ,its a 45 min ride for me, I seen this car at Stafford springs raceway, at swapmeet, Its a Nice Car
Thanks for the video! I like the Willys 77's and Americars, wonder if there are any surviving in their original from-the-factory form? Anytime I see one of these they are always modified for drag racing, would be awesome to see an original condition survivor.
The Volvo Gasser , nice, But will Not pass inspection In Conn, With the Back wheels sticking out, you will have to put mud flaps or cover the wheels.
Always look forward to seeing your vids. Frankly I wouldn't spend a dime on most all these cars, nothing personal. I'm just an old fart on short money. My 1st car was a 58 Chevy. I've had a 55,57,58,62,63,69Z28,87Z,88z I currently own, 78 El Camino I currently own as well as an 81 F150, Plus various and sundry this and that. My dream car, a 1956 Chevy. Working on the money. Frankley if I die 5 minutes after owning one, well what the crap. Life sucks then you die as Myself and my Vietnam buddies used to say.
I appreciate your service to the US! Wow you have owned some nice ones! I'm featuring Tri Five Chevy Finds each week! Maybe there will be one for you to check out soon!
Good, job on finding the hot rods. I was about ready to quit you,
Yeah I'm trying to find wide diversities since there are so many different likes in the Audiences! I'm glad you stayed on! Thanks for being a viewer Bruce!
The only car I feel that is worth anywhere near the asking price is the 1930 custom Plymouth street rod. To be able to compete in SEMA, you have to build an extremely high quality vehicle. The builder of this car probably has a quarter of a million invested in materials and time and labor in it. I would offer $75K and if he balked I’d walk.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYY
54 ford Coe is very sharp
33 Billy's is the ticket
The pictures for the number 1 car are date stamped Jan 2008.
Interesting, I didn't.t catch that, I wonder if a scam or is the seller using old pics? Hmmm...Good catch! Thanks for viewing!
How u doing solon im with u for the ride
Thanks Joseph! I appreciate you being a regular viewer!
the fury is my style,
I would take the Austin ......
If they paid ME the $2500. Sometimes things are just too ugly.
LOL! Thanks Gary, that one made me laugh!
That Mercury lead sled, is awesome and not a bad price. The 56 Belaire is a pretty good price too. That 51 Dodge pickup, is butt ugly ... chevy powered? Way over priced in my opinion. The rat rod, is cool .... but that price is kind of up there ... the rat rod pickup is nice but ... to me the interior throws off the concept of a rat rod. Way out of my budget, but I love the 33 Plymouth, but even if I had the funds, I would not buy a MOPAR that is Chevy powered ... that's just me. I always wanted a Volvo ... but the chop screws it up. I had a friend in high school that built one stock, with a 430 Lincoln ... it moved! 66 sport fury is great ... not a bad price.
I love the Willy's, always did. The VW why do people think Leaving old paint on the Car makes it look nice, It doesn't It will always look better with New Paint, Its not ,Patina, Its old Paint Period
Agree, think the patina popularity is gone!
...custom labrons frontend.....lol...
Hw
Oh my gawd #5, the 51 Dodge "show truck" is horrifically butt-ugly!! And for the incredibly insane price of $100k?!?! Solon, please never post anything this ugly again! I can't unsee this now... I wouldn't pay $500 for it!!! Truly a stupid truck, being sold by a stupid person...
Ok The Chevy sitting on a C5 corvette, That better handle like its on rails, With that under Carriage And Being a Corvette it Better do 140 mph with know Problem, But why he keeps stating it cruises 75, Hell were I live everyone on average runs 85-90, The Inside looks Great, and I,m not saying anything Bad, But a C5 corvette 75mph
