    Three years of planning and building led me the this! Now we can answer the question everyone is asking! How much? You decide! $44,000 rig with $120,000 in parts (not counting taxes!!!). About $15,000 in outsourced labor (gears, taco box, and partial front end). And over 2,000 hours of personal labor!!!

    The word “ultimate” is usually an exaggeration. In this case, it’s accurate. This thing is amazing. I’ve been following along, and it’s insane the amount of careful planning and effort you’ve put into this machine. Thanks for the walk around video!

    What a great way to learn about your vehicle, be prepared for when things get bad especially if you are doing remote overland with your family. I imagine the peace of mind of having all that knowledge is worth so much more than the money expended. I look forward to seeing your future posts.

    Only one knows the true value of the rig after you have spent more in mods than the actual cost of the vehicle itself. This is by far the Extreme Bat Mobile on 37s.

      No sleep! 😂. Honestly… only way it works is to have a cut off time… leave home at 6 am and be home by 5 pm 2 days a week and 8 pm 3 days a week. Sunday all family! Make up for it on the big trips (we spend 8 weeks total overlanding or other outdoor trips in 2023).

    I know you didn't build it for fuel economy, but what does your mpg counter say? I'm running +3.5 LT kit with 37s and 4.88 I'm stock rear axle, full bumpers. And getting 10.8-12 mpg depending on the season.

    • @SandyCats
      @SandyCats  6 месяцев назад

      MPG says around 10.2 on highway. 9.5ish in city. Given that my speedometer is 16% off, I’m assuming I’m getting 11-11.5 mpg

    Are you happy with the 4.56 gear ratio? Or do you wish you went the 4.88 route?

    • @SandyCats
      @SandyCats  6 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely happy with 4.56 for me personally. I feel with a supercharger it’s more than enough for what I do. Plus… I’m conserving a bit of fuel on 37s. 4.88s would be way too much when I use the 35s… and more goal with 35s was to bump my MPG for long trips. Again… solely due to supercharger. My wife’s 4Runner on 35s is happy with 4.88 but no supercharger
