Now when you go out with your crew( 3 or4 additional vehicles in your group for the trip) do you find it easier to just cook big meals for everyone in the group instead of everyone trying to find space on the grill to cook there meal?
I found over the years for it to be easier to plan a menu and cook a morning meal and an evening meal, then they worry about there own lunch, and drinks ,and snacks.
And with the morning and evening meal I provide the coffee. You don’t have every one trying to find a spot on the fire to cook, it tends to be more organized, and I do a lot of Dutch oven cooking, 1 pot meals equals less clean up. I do my trail running in a M38A1 Jeep and carry all my gear in a Canadian M101 trailer. It all works out well. Never did any wheelin in Baja before, but most of our time on the trail was in Death Valley and the panamint mountain range, and the high desert.
Really enjoy your videos and your content. Also loved the video on the water can shower unit. Very functional. I also like the fact that you are a licensed Radio operator.
I carry my hard mount vhf/uhf radio, a couple Ht’s, and usually take my HF rig with me and wire with me to make up a field dipole antenna if I have to reach out and touch someone.
Thanks again for the effort you put into your videos.
    Be safe.

Jeff, thanks for all the feedback! Regarding meals, it really depends on the group. If it's very close friends we usually do as you do and share meals. However, in larger groups or people we are not close with, everyone cooks for themselves. Dealing with people diet requirements becomes a pain... especially if there are a bunch of kids in the group. To be honest though, we usually role in very small groups.

@@olegflaksman6591 I hear you loud and clear. Most of the kids that go with us anymore are young adults, but I would put out a menu to everyone for approval or suggestions then when the menu was set, I’d shop the menu and it would break down to maybe 20 bucks a person. Turned out to be pretty cost effective. Just a little food for thought. Maybe one of these trips I make back to California, we can get together and do some wheelin. I grew up in Chino and know Upland very well.
      Be safe brother.

Awesome set-up and thanks for the walk-through!
If you're breaking those Devos stands every month you should look into photography light stands (Flashpoint, Ulanzi, Manfrotto, etc.). They should be much sturdier and handle more payload. I'm not affiliated with either, but B&H or Adorama would be a good place to start.

Look into the Crashpod spare tire bags. They are an AU company but, I think we can get them in the US. I have a trasharoo knockoff and I find you reall have to fight with the straps to keep it from sliding down.

An great example of well thought out design & packing skills.
It is likely very simple once visualize - & I tried zooming in but could not see how you circulate the water from the Complex to the Sandy Cats water can. BTW - which model Camplux is it.
I also tried searching the RCam 6 tie downs to no avail - have you got a link or a full name,
Very informative no nonsense video. Дякую...

Made a mistake…. Not Cam6…. Called rollercam. It’s the cheapest Camplux; the one that’s $159 on their website. I have some more photos/vids on my instagram. But if you want to see it in more detail, message me on instagram and I will send you a vid.

@@SandyCats Ah - Roller cam - I' ve been meaning to give them a try.
$160 is good value for a heater that works and is rugged to boot.
      I'll check your IG👍

@@SandyCats I checked your IG. I can see how you get cold water from the Sector & hot water through your Camplux for the kitchen area.
I am still unclear how you heat the water in the Sector - So (as you indicated) you would remove the Sector from the rack to have a hot shower away from the kitchen area.

@@TerryManitobaif you look at the 4:45 mark on this video… you’ll see the cap is open and water going from the cap to the Camplux. Than the garden hose going from Camplux back to same scepter.

@@SandyCats Got it - So to be perfectly clear!
You screw off the Septor's lid - jam the garden hose from the hot water outlet into the opening between the lid and Sector? (do this until Sector water temperature is just right-:) Right

Killer setup man. Been using your Sandycats kits on my truck and it’s such a game changer. I have the same Camplux water heater and have been looking for a simple way to waterproof it. What did you use? Looks like that would work really well for my setup

I just used some Velcro and some scrap tent material to cover the top when not in use. Everything else is exposed. Hasn’t rusted yet!

Adventure trail gear.. made in Canada..I have canvas style, also has a small pocket that holds two 1lb propane tanks.. straps go to the bottom to tighten properly...also the mounting straps are separate from the bag and if installed correctly you get no sagging at all.. been using it for about 3 years now... little sun fade but not brittle and weak like the 3 trasharoo's if been throw...
