My mom worked for a Jewish company in the 50’s (Soznik and son’s, I think that’s how you spell it) The nicest, kindest people ever. I was just a child then but they were extremely kind to my Christian mother. We had a really hard time financially and they would always have food for our family. I am 75 now and I will never forget their kindness

I had never seen or heard of Sebastian. Things popped up on RUclips. This was the first one I clicked on, the first story I ever heard him tell. I’ve been obsessed with him since, watching everything I can. But this remains my favorite.

Absolutely! What happened!? The parents worked their fingers to the bone at the deli to send their children to universo. Now they are doctors, researchers and lawyers and they don’t wanna work at the deli!😂

You’re right, our cuisine isn’t anything to talk about…but we’ve improved the world…the whole planet!!!!! in thousands of different ways. Our laws and rituals are the foundation of justice everywhere…and our capacity for doing good knows no equal. We’ve defined freedom in transformative actions, and we’ve regained our strength, even after the most vile and horrid society of evil people got very close to wiping us out. We pride ourselves on our values…..feeding the poor, educating our children, caring for our elders, visiting the sick, repairing the world and making damn sure that our State of Israel flourishes for eternity. We gave the world cures to hundreds of diseases, the Ten Commandments, hundreds and hundreds of medicines that keep people alive. You should be thanking God for the Jewish people. So come on another holiday…our service before the meal on Passover has allowed us to thrive for thousands and thousands of years. Am Yisroel Chai. We are magical and brilliant…and in our core lies the key to our success…..one God.

Obviously, Sebastian has never been to Israel and tasted their outstandingly delicious food. It's Mediterranean cuisine, extremely fresh, and some of the best food I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. Chag Pesach kasher vesame'ach, ya'll !

No. Jewish food is chick peas, falafel, pita, matzoh. East. West is Eastern European chicken fat, borscht, gefilte fish, horseradish, bagels. Nothing else. Maybe some kind of pastry. Let the Italians cater Passover. Perfect.
@jeffgoesrandom4217 You obviously have never been to Israel and eaten their cuisine. I have. Also, I lived in Southern Italy for several months. Food is good, fresh, but I don't like pasta and all that bread, so other than the fresh produce, I'm not keen on their cuisine. Different strokes, dude.

He's referring to Ashkenazi (Eastern European) Passover food. The Sephardic (Spain, North Africa, Middle East) stuff is more appetizing in my opinion.

Its all TRUE. TAKE it from me. I grew up in aTraditional Conservative Jewish home. ❤ We would start at 7.00 and finished around midnight. Lol😅
If you use the Maxwell House Coffee seder and condense it a little,the seder should not last more than 30 minutes.

You got lucky that your girlfriend is not a Somalian, Google what type of cuisine they have and their holidays. Ramadan for instance, when you stuff with food yourself at evening time until morning and do the impression that you keep fasting. And keep the same ritual for one month, and no no for you if you want to get some candies in between.

I’m Israeli. So you have to remember that what Sebastian is talking about is Ashkenazi Jewish food. And it is terrible… But, Sephardic Jewish food is the best. And Israelli food (combination of all of our cuisines) is insane. So come to Tel Aviv you’ll get high off the food I’m telling ya…

Of course, Passover food isn't going to be a sensory delight. And you don't eat bread at a Passover meal. The entire experience is supposed to be a reminder of when Jews were slaves to the Egyptians. Real Italians think of Passover as the Last Supper of our Lord because that's what Jesus and his disciples were having. And Jewish food at the best delicatessens is, in fact, a great culinary experience. Corned beef or pastrami prepared in the unique Jewish way, cannot be beat.
