Welcome back! Today we’re back at Longhirst Golf Club near Morpeth and with Paul the golf pro! He’s off +2 and will be a real challenge! 9 holes scratch match and we’re playing match play!

My pal is a tour caddy, he says the only players using aimpoint are those that can’t putt, they are searching for that magic fix. No amount of feet feel, fixes a bad stroke, or distance control. Even if you do accidentally get the right line with aimpoint, if its the wrong distance it doesn’t go in, poor stroke, it misses. I get aimpoint gives users confidence and that helps, but getting a better stroke and distance control, will reduce your number of putts. Most players see the line, but can’t putt consistently.

What a great pro nothing hurried just on it sensible . The tortoise and the hare .slow and steady wins the race. That's what's different between pros and amateurs. They are trained . Good match .
