My man...I'm glad you're still doing things. I'm from New Jersey...long branch area but now live in indiana...I just drove my 2020 si from Indiana back to NJ to go home for a bit on vacation and goddamn I missed home and the drive was great...stay up.
How much of a difference in cost to have a built block over stock for the 1.5t? If you need to replace the block.. might as well put the best kit into it. Do it right, how you want it from the start. Then you won't have as many questions and doubts. It's probably worth it, for an extra few-5 grand, IMHO. I would love to have a sleeved/built 1.5t; and make it bulletproof (all about those headstuds!) to enjoy the power it has as a modified big turbo'd daily driver also getting 30-40+mph.
I'm in South Jersey also haha, my 8th gen has been having problems I sill want to keep it though, what's your thoughts in the 11th gen SI? Ive been looking at a 2025 one for a new daily but I'm sad there's no coupe and never drove with the 1.5 turbo. Im used to the high reving k engines.
Mines been about 7 months 😢, just need money for the clutch and 3rd and 4th gears. Already got my built block and just need to build the head. Soon soon
Wait im planning to buy a 10th gen si but I heard they are unreliable when u push them to 300+ hp If that us true I would just buy a 9th or 8th gen si Also do you know if the fk8, fl5, and 11th gen si are also unreliable when pushed to higher horsepower?
@@welcometoasia9984 I currently have a 10th gen with bolt one making 250whp for 2 years now. No engine or trans issues yet but any modifications you'll need a new clutch. But if you want more power your gonna either need Ethanol or a big turbo. If you have the money I would go 11th gen si because the interior is nicer

I wanna get a PRL kit just for the sound 😂. Damn stock turbo and all the drop ins don't have that ported shroud whistle the Garrett has.
