i was thinking the exact same thing. for one, he has the guitar skills to pull that part off flawlessly. just needs to say `hello frince` and lean in to stare at the camera for a couple of seconds, ;-)
one of the best episodes yet. I love when he says I can play the same thing over every chord. better than playing than playing something that doesn't work. amazing advice for all levels. I hear to many cats playing some bs. like bro just play the notes of the chord. ""don't play a bunch of stuff"
Amazing lesson, love this song and the chords and I love how different the solo approach is between you and Tom, just listening to that on the record is a lesson in itself, like so many of the other songs/solos too🔥🔥
I have watched you and Uncle Larry play this on Rick Beato’s channel about a hundred times. That is one of the most amazing guitar performances ever. Thanks for showing us this. I love your CD! I’m wearing it out!! Best to you and your family this season.
Guthrie, thank you for taking the time to share this with us. 🎉 The 'everyday stuff' that you do is something that us 'regular musicians' would never get to see!
Reading this comment I went to watch this song on RBs channel (again) and man. You are absolutely right! Incredible playing! Watched a lot of the NYC recordings lately and I am amazed about the energy. Hoping to cross the pond one day to watch it with my own eyes and feel the music in the room ! Then i'll be happy 🧐
So much great licks and informations, knowing the fingerboard makes it much easier. Even if I'm miles away of your ability I learn so much invaluable knowledge that's what this channel is so precious Hats off Guthrie
That is amazing! Your finger setting on the board is so good and as you always say, that's the most important thing. You're already in the shape, makes everything a lot easier. I gotta focus on that a lot more. Thank you for your amazing lessons and inspiration here on the Tube
I know what I will be spending the next week working on now! Once again want to thank you Guthrie for being such an inspiring figure...and inspiring an old jaded curmudgeon such as me is no easy task!
Same here. Be sure to like and comment as much as you can to help promote his videos. Including responding to other people's comments like I am now :) Cheers!
What a great lesson. Thank you GT ! I was playing that song oner and over in my vehicle and then I got on here and you were teaching it. Man talk about synchronicity.
Really love it when you just get lost in the music Mr GT. You aren't limited by any one style or technique. All i want for Christmas is for heaven to grant me another 40 years, and maybe i could be even a tenth as musical as you!. BTW, it looks like your hands are doing really well.
Said as a father, don’t worry about presents too much. Seeing friends/family flying with the wind at their back is the best present. Keep playing inspired, buddy.
Dude, that was a jaw-dropping intro. You put all of these higher subscriber RUclips guitars guys to shame. It’s not only the soulfulness, speed and technique but the INVENTIVENESS. Every video is something we’ve never heard before.
@ maybe maybe not. It’s just good to have a goal in mind. Thanks for the help on guitar. It’s very helpful having info like this on the internet especially for people who don’t normally have access to music education.
Okay let’s all go get some steaks 🥩 some potatoes 🥔 and a bottle of wine 🍷 fire 🔥 up the grill at Mr. Trapps house and get stuffed while listening to some incredible music! 😎🎸
You are frickin ridiculous!!! LOL There’s a Bradly Cooper movie called LIMITLESS where his character takes a special pill a day that opens up his mind and he sees and understands EVERYTHING crystal clear. Watching you at the beginning of this video reminded me of that movie. I wanna love my own talent, but your is the betterest. Lol
That's some seriously sweet sound, my friend! I'm with you all the way, right up until you rip on those 16th note triplets, at which point my head explodes!
The vinyl quality of this album blew me away. Two double-sided records and THICK. Quality pressing deserving of some high quality music. I hope you break down more songs so I can try to play along someday. Have to admit, these are a bit above the level of my chops, but seeing it here makes those licks more accessible.
Y'know, Guthrie, I like the "hat look" on ya. Frankly, I have the same problem, but I'm sure that I'm "more bald" than you! I wear a hat a lot of the time, but not always. I'm considering wearing it more often, though.... Anyway, I just wanted to "register" my opinion, for what it's worth! (I know..."not much," lol.) Hey, GT: Great playin,', as usual! And, good to see you, as usual. 👍👍👍
Hi GT, just wondering what you generally set your treble and bass to on the Princeton ? Think I remember you saying you would have your reverb at 3? P.S finally got around to listening to In Stereo, it’s a belter of an Album! ❤🏴🇺🇸 Chip in Scotland
Where do you get the news letter?
guthrietrapp.com/
Hey Guthrie! You and Jedd should do an Uncle Larry Impersonation vid.
Yeah, GT, an uncle Larry impersonation would be epic....!
Yesssss!!!!
i was thinking the exact same thing. for one, he has the guitar skills to pull that part off flawlessly. just needs to say `hello frince` and lean in to stare at the camera for a couple of seconds, ;-)
I think Keith urban has the best impersonation
@@leechild4655 And then I'll be Happy ;o)

Yeah TELECASTING FROM E.N.T. Baby! Makes me laugh soooo good GT! 3:49 i love this shit. This video is gold!
Amazing lesson, love this song and the chords and I love how different the solo approach is between you and Tom, just listening to that on the record is a lesson in itself, like so many of the other songs/solos too🔥🔥
Also man, your right hand, how u effortlessly hybrid pick, can u make a video on that one day?
Awesome Guthrie! Thank you.
Loved the meeting of the spirits around 2:34
Chock full of great stuff to learn .. thanks GT!
You’re the Best Guthrie!

Great video Guthrie! I learned a lot! I hear some Danny Gatton here and there. Awesome man. Thanks.
So much great licks and informations, knowing the fingerboard makes it much easier. Even if I'm miles away of your ability I learn so much invaluable knowledge that's what this channel is so precious Hats off Guthrie
Happy to help!
In stereo is available on iTunes. I bought 2 CD’s (one autographed) ❤. Now I can listen to Guthrie’s top songs on iTunes for days. 😊
Holy shit Guthrie…your skills are other worldly.
Mahavishnu Orchestra quote in the intro! You mixolydian master. Thank you!
That is amazing! Your finger setting on the board is so good and as you always say, that's the most important thing. You're already in the shape, makes everything a lot easier. I gotta focus on that a lot more. Thank you for your amazing lessons and inspiration here on the Tube
Yes. Hand position is extremely important! Thanks man!
As long as you keep making videos, I'll keep watching.
Much respect...
I know what I will be spending the next week working on now! Once again want to thank you Guthrie for being such an inspiring figure...and inspiring an old jaded curmudgeon such as me is no easy task!
I appreciate that, thanks for watching!

Killed it again GT!
What a great lesson. Thank you GT ! I was playing that song oner and over in my vehicle and then I got on here and you were teaching it. Man talk about synchronicity.

Bless you GT...your chord breakdowns and dem double stops are such a eye opener....thanks man...❤
I appreciate it, glad you're digging it!
Said as a father, don’t worry about presents too much. Seeing friends/family flying with the wind at their back is the best present. Keep playing inspired, buddy.
That’s just insane talent!!
Well that’s why you’re effectively the finest guitar player on the planet. bet.

And thanks as always.
Marty
Nowhere close! But I appreciate it!
@ Trust me bruh, you’re at the TOP of the guitar food chain!!
And Your humility speaks volumes to talent you possess.
🙏🙏🙏
The best 👍
Your pitch with those bends is ridiculous. Appreciate you GT!
you blend styles so well brother
Dude, that was a jaw-dropping intro. You put all of these higher subscriber RUclips guitars guys to shame.
It’s not only the soulfulness, speed and technique but the INVENTIVENESS. Every video is something we’ve never heard before.
Thanks a million, man. Means a lot.
Great TONE ❤
Love that bit of compression on the thin strings.
Glad you're digging the tone!
Man, if I was just listening to the intro I would’ve thought for sure there was a pedal steel in there! Love it, GT and Happy Holidays everyone! 🎸👌
"Dusty frets!"😂😂 That's a first for me. FYI....I need more Barolo pics on ur IG! Love it! Cheers!
I was brought to believe that everyday is Christmas if you want it to be....and it doesn't necessarily have to do with gift giving....
How can I go to bed, now? It's 1:30am here... I want to watch the whole video. Ciao Guthrie!
Great tele tone!
Face melted. This is insane.
We got a herd of GOATS.
as usual great lesson
Glad you liked it!
Love the positivity man and your channel is a wealth of knowledge! Big thanks! ✌️&❤

Great lesson. Thanks GT!
Glad you liked it!
Dude you are a bad ass!!!
Guthrie is the King of CAGED
Excellent lesson! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
GT noodle time. Doesn’t get much better than this right here!
I wouldn’t force yourself to make unnecessary videos. We appreciate the ones you make. Just set a good, attainable goal. Appreciate the lesson👍
Indeed. I’ll never hit that goal. And they will never be unnecessary 👍
@ maybe maybe not. It’s just good to have a goal in mind. Thanks for the help on guitar. It’s very helpful having info like this on the internet especially for people who don’t normally have access to music education.
Super cool song. Still loving the record by the way.
So good...
Glad you think so!
Okay let’s all go get some steaks 🥩 some potatoes 🥔 and a bottle of wine 🍷 fire 🔥 up the grill at Mr. Trapps house and get stuffed while listening to some incredible music! 😎🎸
That sounds like a great night!
Man o man. Guthrie can just flat out play!!!

In all your lesson offerings, TruFIRE, etc… where can we learn more about hybrid picking ?
Transition logo blues lives in my head. My fiancé makes fun of me for it 😂
That's some seriously sweet sound, my friend! I'm with you all the way, right up until you rip on those 16th note triplets, at which point my head explodes!
None of my telecasters ever sound like that when i play them🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂
Thinking my Tele might be defective cause it never sounds as good as Guthrie's does LOL

P.S finally got around to listening to In Stereo, it’s a belter of an Album! ❤🏴🇺🇸
Chip in Scotland
Would you ever put out a backing track version like Uncle Larry did for Plexi Soul?
Not sure what kind of coffee you were drinking this morning. Seems like it’s working for you.
I wish I could play that out of tune😂
Danny Gatton - on steroids....
I heard alot of Danny Gatton stuff from the Telemaster video instructional. You never give Danny any credit.
As musicians if we had to mention our influences with every performance, there would be more talking than music.
@@leslieperry3001Thank you.
I’m so happy that’s what you chose to focus on here. You have no idea what credit I have given to Danny Gatton. Please move on…
