Great vid again I love the way this series is working thru the different tackle aspects, nice music and filming of the lures the content is outstanding great production
Nice one Paul, I was surprised for sure, and we didn't see an 80mm lure in there, I was certain we would have. Well done great vid and tips for everyone.
Hey Paul, I really enjoy watching your videos........very informative and entertaining. I was wondering, are you able to put together a video on those various round body crankbaits and talk us through their features/characteristics and when/how they're best utilised? Cheers,
Hey Manny, thanks for watching mate! If you're on Facebook/Instagram, do you mind flicking me a quick message and i can chat to you about it in more detail. Long and short of it is i tend to just go with a handful of proven catchers from Smith/Cranka for the smaller profiles and Jackall/ProLure for the bigger profiles and then only a small handful of colours. They're much of a muchness I feel... but i also don't use them as often as our northern cousins...
Haha! That’s awesome Paul you got me with the thumbnail. May as well have been a babe with a fishing rod lol! Man you have a collection bro, too much choice lol
No hurricane twitch 50?! Haha na so many great lures to pick from 😅 still yet to catch a bream on a cranka crab only ever been dusted around snags on it haha gonna have to invest some coin and spend a day chucking em I think. Ripper video again, at this rate I'll be a bream pro by the time we can get back to fishing haha
So hard to reduce down to 5!! Well done Paul... Certainly all great lures... Will have to focus some time with crabs... Haven't done real well with them.. Probably too scared to lose them on rock Walls! Cheers
Steve Teale thanks Steve! I struggled to narrow it down. Absolutely. It can be a little painful but they often pull the fish like nothing else! Where are you fishing?
@@PaulMalovFishing Hey Paul .. Northern Rivers .. Ballina estuary .winter bream are moving in .. . and local freshwater for bass ... breeding season . I'm secretary of a (declining) bass restocking club .. love your vids and your attitude to fishing .. thanks for sharing .. still have an eye on a Miller rod ! Cheers
Need to make a new top 5 hard Bodies video. I’m sure your favourites have changed a bit, no doubt the muss would be in it if you do make another one haha.
Nice one mate, very informative for a newbie to lures! Been trying every week landbased at the nong on the deep divers and zman grubz without any luck! Any tips?!
Thanks Nathan! Mate she’s tough landbased I won’t lie - a kayak makes life a lot easier in there. Structure like the bridges and pontoons/jetties hold better numbers of fish willing to eat. You’ll get the occasional one off the rock wall edges but it can take a few trips or right water conditions/salinity for them to be in the rocks. Also the water could be cooling down and that may have pushed them a bit deeper or on to structure
@@PaulMalovFishing yeah! I'd love to get a kayak but honestly don't want to invest into one yet when I have barely caught anything on a lure. Want to get the technique down first, any land based spots you'd recommend?
Hey mate. Sorry for the late message. I think a Golden would definitely eat the bigger model with claws, especially in the lighter colours. Not too familiar with their food groups, but from everything I’ve seen in the past in videos and what not, soft plastics that resemble bait fish/minnows as well as prawn imitations will get eaten!
jerry fredricson hey mate. I decided to keep surface out of the list. Great lure but not the best hook up rate. I’ll probably do a top 5 surface lures vid closer to spring
CSKN hey mate. I decided to keep surface out of the list. Great lure but not the best hook up rate. I’ll probably do a top 5 surface lures vid closer to spring
Great video & very informative thanks. Lure collecting is a great hobby on its own 👍
Great vid again I love the way this series is working thru the different tackle aspects, nice music and filming of the lures the content is outstanding great production
Top 3 is bang on Australia wide, I feel the Pontoon21 and the Ecogear are southern favourites.
Grift Co. you’re probably right mate!
Thanks for the video champ. This will narrow down what I need to get to nail a few keggers over Winter.
PortsFishing hope you do mate! 💪🏻💪🏻
Good video mate. My personal favourite is the SX40 and then Jackall Chubby. Never gone out and not caught with those two
With the SX 40 u should use the orange, black and gold.
Go’s great with flathead, mangrove jack and trevally
Nice one Paul, I was surprised for sure, and we didn't see an 80mm lure in there, I was certain we would have. Well done great vid and tips for everyone.
Dale Baxter thanks DB! ❤️

I was right, great vid!
No surface lures in this lot? Another vid perhaps?
Paul Farrell - Kayak Fishing no surface lures Paul, will do one closer to spring/summer again
do you think a golden trevally would eat a cranka crab ?also do you have any golden trevally lure recommendations?
